I have blue capsules that say adderall xr 30 mg on them but they have only white beads. Is this generic or brand? And how are these different from the orange 30 mg adderall xr with the white and orange beads? ## @Ricky, When you switch between different manufacturers, the only noticeable thing I'm aware of that actually changes are the inactive ingredients (binders/fillers), so that could be one reason why the beads are different colors - different dyes? As to whether or not it's a generic or brand that you have, my research shows that the orange 30mg pill marked with "Adderall XR" is indeed a brand name and not generic. I tried to run my script through my Cigna Medicare health insurance plan like I always do and it comes out to be around $10 or $20 a month. I received a partial fill with a promise that the remainder would be in the following week (which they were). A few days later, I received a letter in the mail stating that Cigna either is not covering it anymore in 2023 or they put a quantity limit on it. I'm not sure which as I am having difficulty getting through on their phone. Has anyone heard of this? I take 60 mg daily IR. It was floating around that the DEA decided that it was a 'new, universal rule' that 40 mg is the max to be dispensed to anyone in a month. Help! I have an appointment with my psychiatrist this week and I plan to tell him about Amneal's discontinuation of Generic Dexedrine ER. That was the only authorized generic I could find, and the only version which worked for me. Now that I can't get it, should I request an IR version, or is there something more appropriate? Tomorrow I should be filling a script for 30 mg Adderall IR tablets, but I am nervous about getting stuck with a subpar generic. What are the current generic manufacturers as of this month? How much weight, per week can one expect to lose on dexedrine? ## It has successfully helped some people to lose weight. How much they lose varies and it must be combined with appropriate diet and exercise. This is a simulant medication containing Dextroamphetamine. Common side effects can include: nausea, insomnia, anorexia and headache. Is anyone having stomach problems with Sandoz 20mg Adderall? ## Ugh I haven’t tried them yet because I got half Teva and half Sandoz at my last fill. I hope not I already have stomach issues. ## I like Sandoz much better than TEVA but these stomach problems are hard to deal with. Sandoz version of generic Adderall 20mg is the same garbage Adderall generic Aurobindo. I mean exactly the same pill! They stamp a different name on the outside of the bottle, but its all made at that awful Aurobindo cheap/ fake pharmaceutical company, These pharmaceutical companies think they are so smart! I have tried every adhd med. Am currently taking adderall 20mg but have been feeling extremely tired all the time for the last 6 months. How should I approach my doctor about trying Desoxyn and which kinds or brands are still available? Or how else can I try it? ## Usually, it is best to not ask for a specific medication, just let them know that the current on is not working for you. The discussion of alternative options should naturally result from that. Desoxyn contains Methamphetamine, so it is not generally the first choice used for treatment of ADHD. Desoxyn seems to be given to some. I for one have never had it or anything close, legal or not. If you did use it, was it effective or was it too much to tolerate. What was your experience? ## I haven't taken it yet. Pharmacies like CVS and Ralphs don't have it and other pharmacies I've called need the actual written prescription to tell me if they can even fill it. Hi, has anyone heard of or tried Buprenorphine or Vivitrol and Wellbutrin together for help stopping methamphetamine use? I'm very interested in this. There were studies and tests & trials done with methamphetamine users and the results were quite impressive. I suffer from severe ADD and anxiety. I found a doctor in Houston who prescribe me Desoxyn and Adderall for 12 years to treat my anxiety and ADD. But recently she decided to take me off the medication. I have years of records I’ve been prescribed medication and a severe need for it to function at work and live my life normally. I have been diagnosed with ADD when I was 19 and also PTSD around the same time. I am now 24. I finally went to a dr instead of self medicating. It has been yrs. since I have been off of adderall for my ADD and klonopin for my PTSD. I live in NY and as you know a lot of dr.s here get locked up. It's happened to both of my Drs. Since then I've been an opiate addict and just came home from prison. I'm not a bad person I just need to be properly medicated but no dr wants to prescribe me anything even though I have been properly diagnosed. I'm on methadone now and still can't properly function. I need help with methamphetamine dependence. I would like to know if there is any kind of med I could take to help get off of this drug? ## I am not a doctor by no means, but try taking an anxiety med like klonopin 2mgs every 6 hours, trazodone, or valium 10 mg every 6hours if you can. I don't know how bad your addiction is but that may not be the way to go. If you have a bad addiction, you may want to consider going to a clinic to get suboxone. Please don't do it alone. I had a hair follicle test done and it came back positive for amphetamines, and methamphetamine. I was wanting to know if any of the medicines I have been taken can cause a false positive. Hello All: Eight years ago I had a gastric bypass losing from 294# to 117# (too low for a 61 yr. old female). Currently 145# & feel good from weight standpoint. I have had many adversities from the bypass with 4 subsequent small bowel resections. I cannot absorb generic meds. This leads me to excess costs on all of my meds. I was changed from brand Lexapro to escitalopram (generic) in June and by Sept., I was suicidal and required intensive treatment until I could get the brand Lexapro. or patch, my son can not take a pill to save his life. HELP ## there is no intuniv in patch or liquid but you can try to give it to him with ice cream. I make a little ball of ice cream and put the pill inside. We have a championship to see who can swallow the ball faster without chewing it - my son loves to win - and loves this. I am 32 years old I was taking short acting adderall, my new job does drug panels and I did not disclose I have ADD. My Dr. said Straterra does come back positive for amphetamines so that is out. He recommends Intuniv but I have read it does not work, makes people sleepy and depressed. Please post your experience with this drug. Will it allow me to focus? Will I be sleepy and depressed? well, I went off Mallinckrodt after being back on that for awhile at 80 mg and I had to go on the hunt again. Well there is a brand called Zenzedi that has the same 10 mg tablet as wilshire and i find those to last a little longer... not as much mentally hardcore in the focus area but at least the urge to pig out hits every 3.5-4 hours vs 2... They all beat the rest away (vyvanse, dex spansule, adderall, ritalin....) Now they need to go to a higher dose because 180-270 pills depending on the brand per month is nuts. And I respect that long acting generation and that it helps but don't think all of us on them are crackheads. I am on random drug testing for probation and got a letter in the mail from my p.o saying I failed for amphetamines on the 13th of October. I was sick, and not working on the 11th or 12th. I took some OTC medication for my cold. I took some Allegra D and some Day Quil. Will this cause a false positive? How do I go about disputing this. I can't loose my job for going to jail, and certainly am not getting locked up for doing s drug I never would do, nor know where to even find it.
