i recently tested positive for amphetamines during an oral swab drug test. i currently am taking a number of perscription medications, Buspirone, Clonazepam, Mirtazapine, Venlafaxine, & Quetiapine. I also take 800mg Ibuprofen as needed and an asthmatic inhaler when needed. I was wondering if any of these medications alone or combined could create a false-positive on the drug test i took? Any and all information given will b greatly appreciated as I'm trying to resolve this issue bc of its urgencey. Thanks you! ## I had samething just happen to me! I also just tested positive with the oral swab for amphetamines after a minor fall at work. I am still waiting for the urine result because of course it happened on a weekend and they haven't analyzed it yet. My job hangs in the balance I take no prescription meds only an asthma inhalor. I went to security about my accident knowing full well they drug test you, voluntarily never expecting any kind of positive result for anything. ## I just read through these posts and one said menthol cigarettes! That is probably it, I do smoke menthol and the tester asked if I had had a mint that that sometimes will affect the results. Never occured to me it could be the menthol in my cigarette. I take methamphetamine and want to know how accurate the saliva drug tests are? ## Based on my research, I'm led to believe that the accuracy would probably be diminished after 3-4 days or so. Saliva tests can only detect Methamphetamine up to 1-4 days after your last dose. In comparing saliva tests to other forms of drug testing, they can only be as accurate as the quality of the testing equipment. And to my knowledge false positives are known to occur on them anywhere from 4-50% of the time. I have a few questions about Adderall and the exact perscription I am taking. I'm brand new to adderall and would like much more info! I'm on my fourth month of my prescription, This is my first month taking 10mg twice a day I take one at 6 am and before 12pm. What do ya'll think of this prescription...is there a difference in brand and generic? What is everyone's experiences with this drug? Do you recommend something different? I took methamphetamine around Oct 20. I took a hair follicle test today. I know it goes back to 90 days and I am concerned because I am right at that cutoff. I haven't done any drugs since then. What are my chances of failing? ## What was result? I'm curious because I'm in the same position. I did it about 5 days straight, starting around feb 24th. Yes, it would be considered the same by most pharmacies, according to the DEA prescribing directions. Is it a controlled substance? Those are typically the ones that doctors write that on. Hi. I have ADHD along with depression. I use Escitalophram 10mg at bedtime for depression, also along with 5 mg. Ambien. I used to take Temazapam 10 mg before I saw studies associating it with either dementia or Alzheimer's, from which my father died. I also have sleep apnea. Understanding that one's ADHD is not effectively addressed until the depression is first being addressed, my psychiatrist is prescribing 40 mg generic ADDERAL (E 401) x 2 in the morning and generic Ritalin 20mg in the afternoon, though I suspect at least 40mg would work better since Ritalin is not as strong as ADDERALL and even theoretically 20mg Ritalin is only 10 mg of ADDERALL. Hi I took around 200mg of adderall from thursday to sunday and then another 40mg today.. I just found out that I have a saliva test tomorrow and wanted to know 1.) any chance of me passing? 2.) what I can do to pass 3.) is there anyway to beat it if not? ## Did u pass? Hey i am involved with dhr. They have my kids. They said i failed a test for methamphetamine so i payed to have it sent off. I have been clean for 6 months. The results came back positive. I don't understand how as i haven't touched anything. They're wanting to do tpr. I recently filled my monthly adderall Rx and it was damaged during flooding from hurricane. I brought it to my dr who verified it, destroyed and wrote a new rx. FL pharmacy won't refill early, nor will insurance. Question is, if I mail order it from out of state, can that bypass the fill date verification?

I don't have a question but do have a few thoughts about Vyvanse. I noticed that in the official Vyvanse drug info that Vyvanse was being considered in the treatment of Major Depression Disorder. I have struggled with Bipolar ll for many years with Seasonal Pattern, ie I have extreme depression in the winter and hypomania in the summer. My depressions generally havetreatment resistant and I have been hospitalized several times. A couple of times only ECTs could break my depressions. There have been times when depression threatened my life because it was so unbearable. A couple times ECT's was the only effective treatment. I began Vyvanse 4 months ago to help with weight loss and binge eating. The first month was great and I dropped 10 lbs with no side effects. Months 2-4 have also gone well. No binge eating, no craving. In fact I probably consume around 1000 calories a day. But I have only lost 2 lbs in three months. My doc is mystified. All my blood work was fantastic. No thyroid problem at all nor any other reason why I shouldn't be losing weight. Not a heavy drinker, smoke occasionally and am otherwise healthy. I normally get 90 thirty milligram Adderall every month, but when I picked up my filled perception, they only gave me 60. Was the doctor or the pharmacy at fault, and can it be corrected? ## Have you tried asking the doctor, or pharmacy? If it was an error, it should be able to be corrected, but no one can say for sure, if they haven't read your prescription. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, and anorexia. Did your doctor mention making any changes?

I am trying to enlist in the Navy but I have to take a urine test as well as a blood test. I do have a script but they do not accept anybody with ADD taking Adderall so I need it out of my system fast. been on dextro for 3 years. in addition I am taking paxil, clonazepam, & trazodone. I still feel extremely tired and listless. i wish I could be taken off this stuff. I am very familiar with detox; I used to run a social detox center. I am definitely scared of the detox process. I am a Veteran and they will not allow inpatient detox. I'm prescribed 15 mg adderalls. I always get the name brand (blue/white capsules) which have orange beads. For some reason, the pharmacist gave me a generic version (orange pills)with white beads inside. This is the second time this happens in the last year and both times I noticed the beads were white and the generic brand seems to have quite a bit less beads than the name brand. I thought they were supposed to both be equal just different name brands. Why does the generic brand with white beads have less beads than the name brand which has the orange beads?
