False Positive On Saliva Drug Test For Amphetamines

i recently tested positive for amphetamines during an oral swab drug test. i currently am taking a number of perscription medications, Buspirone, Clonazepam, Mirtazapine, Venlafaxine, & Quetiapine. I also take 800mg Ibuprofen as needed and an asthmatic inhaler when needed. I was wondering if any of these medications alone or combined could create a false-positive on the drug test i took? Any and all information given will b greatly appreciated as I'm trying to resolve this issue bc of its urgencey. Thanks you!

I had samething just happen to me! I went strait to my pharmicist he told me cold meds cause the amphetamine to show up. I can't belive there is not a warning on the label. Anybody that had to get drug tested DONT TAKE ANY COLD MEDS WITHOUT CHECKING WITH PHARMICIST FIRST!

I have recently been enrolled in an out patient program and have been clean from everything for just bout 2 months. We r given a saliva test 1x a week and so far all of the saliva tests have come back positive for AMPHETAMINES&, OPIATEs, I have learned that bennydrl, nyquil, sudafed, claritan n viks inhalers will show a positive result for amphetamines.....also learned that ROBITUSSEN, DMX, TONIC WATER(QUARINE WATER) N POPPY SEEDS WILL Show a positive for opiates/heroin. Hope this helps anyone. Also if ur sure ur results are untrue ur r allowed 100% to request a retest for a saliva test. Also saliva tests are the most common tests that show innaccuracy

My wife failed a drug test for all sorts of stuff we know she hasn't done. This test was taking at the e.r. abouta month ago and now we got a bill in the mail and she is being charged for everything she failed for. J/w what should we about this.

I recently took a mouth swab and it came back positive for amphetamine and the only thing I took was 81 mg Bayer aspirin. Can this come back as a false positive for amphetamine?
