Acid Rebound And Rebamipide Mucosta

after stopping meds omeprazole 20mg twice a day which i took for 45 days, i suffered from acid rebound, severe burning sensation in stomach i never felt before after i was told by a gastroent to stop taking meds. he put me on mucosta 3x a day for 7 days and asked me to come back if symptoms still there. is mucosta safe to take 2wks and wont cause any complications?

Why were you taking the Omeprazole? If it was to treat a specific condition, such as an ulcer or GERD, then 45 days is a really short time to be on it, most of these medications are used for at least 3 to 4 months.

Did he say why he wanted you to stop taking it?

Acid rebound is always possible, when you stop using these types of medications abruptly.

The Rebamipide is an amino acid derivative, that is used to mucosal protection and to treat conditions such as Gastritis.

My acid rebound is over, treatment is successful with mucosta which I took for 7 days at 3x a day. Increasing food intake and eating more than a few times a day is the best cure! I took omeprazole because this gp insisted for my hiatal hernia which can produce a myriad of symptoms like air and too much acid but the real authority which is my new (second opinion) gastroent informed that it is not really a disease that needs medication. At most 2 weeks is enough to treat an acid reflux, in my case lpr which accdg to him is a myth. I am happy now and will always hold on to the fact that I am well and deserves and have every right to be medication free!!

I have acute gastritis mucosal erosion and my doctor give me omeprazole,clarithromycin and metronidazole.i just read a while ago that metronidazole interact in clarithromycin.im just worried because im also nursing.he doctor said it is safe for breastfeeding..but i found out when i read some articles related about this drugs that this is not safe while nursing.it says that if the doctors give this kind of prescription and while nursing should better to stop...how woulld i handle this thing..i thought doctors knws best for what must the right drugs will given to us..what is the right drug for me to use now i know that this is not safe for my baby or for me..though id rather stop nursing or stop taking a medeci e?If i did stop nursing for my baby sake its ok..if i stop taking medecine what would the best thing to do for my acute gastritis..help me pls...i dont knw what to do.

I was diagnosed to have SMAS, Superior Mesenteric Artery Syndrome, with GERD plus haital hernia. I have been using anti acid for a long time now. But it's getting worst than expected. Can you help me with SMAS thing? They say ist's a rare case and No treatment. for the rebound of acidity I take Mucosta and it gives me relief. Thanks a lot. Hoping for your reply to my query. I dont know whats happens next i had this problem from 2 years but before 2 months i had too much acidity i cant eat anything and also before 2 days i also dont even go to the bathroom so i take this medicine rebamipide fot ist time ....i dont know it helps me or not may god bless me ... is thier any one who can give me a better solution for acidity i think thier is too much acid in my stomach help me with some natural things

I also have SMAS. they say no cure. I always suffer acid rebound and difficulty of eati gsolid food. now am taking rebamipide for 2 days but I noticed I have lots of sores on my tongue. is this side effects of rebamioide.pls. help

The doctor prescribed oneprazole 40mgs for my sons acid reflux.and mucosta 3x a day.since the drug is expensive i can only provide OD of mucosta and cutting him off to caffein and fatty foods.i couldnt find generics for mucosta but still looking so i can follow 3x a day dosage.is it fine this way?thank you

Is Nexium ang omeprazol the same? I am on omperazol with domperidone. But I was given Nexium 14 caplets from canada. Can i replace omeprazol with nexium?

I'm taking mocusta and pontrazole, but I'm starting to notice the side effects of these drugs and the acidity is always there. The doctor said to take a lab analysis for sgpt, sgot, cbc and ecg, because I get anxious and nervous. Please help me if you have any suggestions for controlling my anxiety.
