How long does it take on 50mg tablet of sertraline to go through the body. how long do side effects last - thank you

Most people don't even experience side effects from just one dose, on the rare occasion that they do, if you only took one tablet, it will be out of your body within 24 to 48 hours.

Sertraline is the generic for Zoloft, common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and headache.

Thank you for taking the time to reply to my question. i did take a very serious reaction to the on 50mg tablet, which did last 48 hours, i was trembling, had feelings of extreme anxiety and this went on and off for the 48 hours. i saw my doctor on monday 16 november who prescribed a beta blocker and 5mg valium, thankfully it worked, i am now fine. my doctor agreed it must have been an allergic reaction, thank you again for your reply, much appreciated.

Hi Janie - Maybe I'm having an allergic reaction? I only took one 50 mg pill and am still suffering bad effects 3 days after stopping. Terrible anxiety, warm rushes through my body, feeling cold and shivering, cold hands and feet. Just woke up randomly an hour ago at 3 am in a complete panic and can't go back to sleep. Plus I overall just feel weird, like I'm not myself. Will this go away soon? Is this similar to how you felt?
