My spouse, who is in severe, chronic pain, has been a customer of Walgreens for many years. We live in Pinellas County, Florida. Everyday this week we have driven from Walgreen's to Walgreen's trying to fill his prescription for Roxicodone 30mg, to no avail. I cannot get any help from his regular pharmacy. I know that it's dangerous for them to tell a total stranger which store has them in stock, but I don't understand since they know him, why they can't call around or give us any assistance. I am at a total loss as to what to do & would appreciate any information that you could provide. It is so hard to see him in so much pain. Thank you.

The WalGreens you use could have the script filled for you or transfer the script to that store. This has all become a big game with the DEA in the lead position. If guidelines were put into effect prior stating how many pills per patient per month this would not be happening. =There is a problem with all this but the people who need this medication because a legit physical problem are suffering because of the DEA thinking they know whats best and basically saying that most Dr don't know what they are doing or what they are doing is illegal. Again with the damn Government sticking they're noses where they don't belong

That's bc the roxycodone and dilaudid are cheap. Opana is not. Just goes to show what bs this whole situation is. Were all puppets on their strings, and the way things as looking, there'll be no c2's@ all in near future. Why are the lucky few who are still able to fill roxycodone not understanding? This thread wasn't started bc were having a good time. Your time will come when you do understand. Most of us were cut off w/ no warning. Good luck

I still don't understand why everyone is having problems filling their roxi went to dr called my pharm she said I was a day early just come in the next day the longest went w/out was 2 weeks but had my er to get through and theirs plenty of mom and pops that have them the dea doesn't make laws they are just a bunch of bullies

What's with the Morphine Equivalent Ration (MER). My pain doc is cutting my meds because my MER is too high, I was only taking 60mg of Methadone and 120 mg of Oxy a day. It controlled my pain quite well, now I am having trouble treating my breakthrough pain on a daily basis.
This, on top of the problem I have in even getting the meds.
How do we get together as a group and get noticed for our delima.... we need national attention on the matter of the availability of the narcotics.

Nsaids have their own set of side.effects, as.doneplayin.said, ulcers and if someone really takes over the limit, heart attacks. Most of us haven't gotten tothis last line of meds without trying everything else. If nsaids worked so well, so many wouldn't be in this nightmare of trying to fill legit prescriptions so we can live a semi normal life. If someone makes a statement like that, I doubt they're in chronic debilitating pain everyday.

Maybe for you they do, they did 20 yrs. ago then you take more an more and soon you have ulcers, and your so sick and still in pain and then pain in Kidneys and then they try you on Lortab and so on so if you went farther than you needed Im sorry, but as i keep saying on here we are all different shape size , mind and we have different chemistry and natural make-up.So if NSAIDS work for you REALLY then please get help to wean yourself off them. The problem w/ synthetic urine is your meds won't show up which is a red flag. I know I can smoke the 1st 10 days a few times, as long as I wait 18 days b4 appt. Everyone is different, I just don't think 1 puff will affect dans test next wk. Video these damn pharmacists who are playing God with us. I have a bad feeling I'm going to have same problem as sickynurse this week filling opana. As to who.commented on taking nsaids for pain relief, too much of that and it causes bleeding ulcers and heart problems.

Lets be real guys, NSAIDs can handle our pain just as good but its the sickness and dependence that has us stuck on them. That stresses me out the most. I wish I never started taking them because every month it's so stressful because of the impending WDs that put your life on hold. I hate Walgreens but I have the most luck there as well as the most bs. Regular Walgreens told me no today then I figured I'd try cvs for the hell of it and sure enough they filled for me. You just never know. I'm in the Orlando area. I get 120 oxy 30s
