I have been on Linzess for 2 days and no movement, I think I am going back to milk of magnesia, I was using this and it worked great until my doctor put me on a water pill, and I told her I could not take them, they dried me out so bad and was so weak that I stopped taking them. could the water pill dried me out so bad that my lower colon is twisted. I am so upset. I take pain medicine.

Hello, Footsie! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having.
Have you been taking the Linzess on an empty stomach? For it to be effective, it can't be taken with food.
The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, abdominal bloating, diarrhea and heartburn.
What pain medication do you take? Many of them can cause constipation, so it could be contributing to the problem.
