180x500mg Green Lipped Mussel Capsules

My Dad just got receive a supplement yesterday. it's a 180x500mg Green Lipped Mussel Capsules. Just want to asked what's the main benefits of this? Is there are restrictions for those people who will take it? Has anyone tried this before? please shared your thoughts.. Thank You!

Since this is a supplement, rather than a medication, it is difficult to provide you with a lot of information on it, because they are not tested for safety, nor analyzed for side effects, like that which is done for prescription medications.

That said, manufacturers claim that it has anti-inflammatory properties to help with conditions like arthritis and bursitis, but this is not actually proven.

This also means that I can't answer your question about restrictions, or possible dangers, since this information isn't known. The only thing they warn about is not taking it, if you are allergic to shellfish.

Has he consulted his doctor? If he has any medical conditions and is on any medications, he should always do that, before taking anything new.
