I have been on xanax for social anxiety and panic attacks since 2004. Dosage would range from 1m 3x a day to .5 3x a day, sometimes more. I am now 34 years old and trying to have a baby = cant be on xanax!
I am now on .25 twice a day...which anyone on xanax for a long time know...thats nothing! Its been a month and a half and not too bad, except for today. Full blow panic attack, crying for no reason, sooo angry I could punch a hole in the wall.
Any tips on helping with the mood swings?
Also I find myself to have days of foggy'ness and my cognitive ability is gone! I type an email to a client & in my head everything is typed write...when i look back and read what i wrote..everything is wrong. Its like a 16year old that never took an english class wrote it. Its not spelt wrong, its for example....ill type is but mean its, ill type beck and mean back, ill type heed and mean head.....
does this ever get better????

Self imposed tapering while for a great reason must be done correctly. I'd say you are clearly not taking enough. There are some published formulas on how to withdraw, and I might get your doctor involved, possibly a treatment center as well. Your baby will love you for this!
