I have been taking this med for 4 weeks, and find I am getting more and more constipated (never have been before ) is this common?? ## Since taking Zanidip (with Lisipronil) I have extremely dry skin, leg rashes and increasing muscle weakness. Does Zanidip deplete Potassium levels and should I take a Potassium supplement? ## I was prescribed Zanidip 20mg. Afer 24 days of use, an itch started on my feet, by two days the itch turned into rash, small pimple looklike covered my feet up to half my culfs, in 4 days, the same started on my arms. I was taking Micardis tablets with no problems until my Kidney specialist changed me to Zanidip.(something to do with calcium levels) but since then I started feeling unwell started with ear pain and inflammation of the throat glands now it's like I'm having an immune reaction to everything. I changed to Amlodipine tablets with no relief, went on a strict low histamine diet with no relief so brings me back to these calcium channel blockers. I wake up during the night needing to urinate and have a very dry mouth. The urination is not new but the dry mouth only seems to have stated since I began taking Zanidip, Is this normal or should I worry about the problem? ## Zanidip contains the active ingredient Lercanidipine, it is a calcium channel blocker, commonly used to treat high blood pressure and other cardiac related issues. My husband is taking the following medications: Olmetec 40mg + Zanidip 10mg + Plavix 75mg + Lasix 40mg + Cartia aspirin 100mg; 1 each morning. He is also taking: 2 Panadol Osteo 5mg x 3 times daily + 1 Pregabalin 25mg + 1 Vytorin 10/40mg at night. All prescribed by his GP. He had a triple bypass in 2014; stents 1 in Feb, 2 in Nov 2016; Radical prostectomy for cancer in 2006; Radiation for secondary cancers in 2009; Neurosurgery for a subdural hemorrhage in 2013. He has had breathing problems and used inhalers off and on for 4 years (is now off these). He does have asbestos fibers in his lungs, but thankfully no major problems there. But he is having problems with tiredness throughout the day and is constantly sleeping. Is this due to the mixture of drugs he is on now?

Hi I was on Amloc 10mg daily for years and my BP was well controlled. Over the years though i started experiencing serious hair loss. I was put on Zanidip 10mg daily. After 3 weeks my doctor decided to increase the dose to 20mg daily as my BP was higher than it should be. After commencing the increased dosage i started experiencing rapid heart beat and palpitations. dizziness, breathlesness and a feeling that I had an elephant on my chest . Doctor suggested splitting the dose and taking 10mg in the morning and 10 at night. This has improved the situation but is not perfect. i am taking Zanidip in the morning but then my face starts flushing on and off during the day.i was wondering if i could take it at night so the flushing would occur during the night i also take tenormin in the morning. I am about to take my first Zanidip and I was wondering what the real common side effects are, also is there anywhere you can get it alot cheaper. I am paying 21.50 euro for 28 tablets. ## Just like Peter I am about to take my forst Zanidip and worried about what the real common side effects are. My B.P. reading this morning 181/95. I have been on another tablet for about 15/20 yrs, and am 62yrs.tomorrow. My B.P. is usually about 135/65., so I'm worried as to how Zanidip will affect me. ## I take physioten along with zanidip. I find my vision is blurred especially for the first hour or so in the morning also have great feelings of depression. Is it the zanidip or the combination of the two drugs. When only on physioten my BP can at time become approximately 200/anything up to 100.

I stopped for 10 days but the pain has not gone away. Pritor side effects. What a nightmare. Had to stop taking Pritor as after 2 weeks started getting severe headaches, nausea, dizziness to the extent that I could not drive my car. The worse was that I had an increase in my blood pressure. I am back on Zanidip.

Can Zanidip be taken at night as I can sleep off the side effects

I would like to know if anyone has any info they can put forward on as to whether or not Zanidip may have an adverse effect on the obtaining and maintaining of erections in a male? ## Yes since taking Zanidip 10 mg a couple months ago,I do not seem to be able to maintain my erections for more than a few minutes ! Previously even with the other BP tablet I have taken for a few years I had no problems for hours. Unfortunately it was nod really doing anything to lower the BP so that is why Doctor asked me to go on the Zanidip. Within a few weeks the BP had fallen from around 155/95 to around 120/80.
