I found oval yellow pills in my sons room and need help finding out what they are. They're labeled PA 46 on the pills, that's all I have to go on. It seems like they're liquid inside the soft exterior. ## This caplet contains Benzonatate 100mg (NDC 50111-0851). I think it is an antiacid want to make sute. ## @Micahel Wilkerson , I believe the pill you have may actually be OTC Zyrtec liquid capsules; which are clear/yellow egg shaped capsules with the imprint z10. Zyrtec (Cetirizine) is used in the treatment of allergies, hay fever, angioedema, and urticaria. When looking at it vertically, it has an indention running all the way around. After the year it starts to loose its potency and may make you sick. ## To expand on Eddie's reply…. His response is correct for tablets or capsules that have been dispensed to you in a bottle from your pharmacy. In that case, they have an expiration date of one year from the date of dispensing, though most will not make you sick, they just lose potency. However, if they are in the original factory sealed container that has not been opened, then the storage shelf life is actually 3 years, since they have not yet been exposed to the elements that cause degradation, such as heat, light and moisture.
