Xarelto And Tingling
5 Topics FoundI have been on 20mg xarelto for almost 3 months now after having a DVT come up. I am supposed to have an ultrasound at the end of the month to see if the clot is gone so that I can stop taking it. I have multiple side effects happening. I have numbness and tingling in my feet, where it started and now it is moved up my leg to mid thigh as well as my hands and now moved up to my biceps. I teach yoga, work out daily and have been noticing a distended belly and weight gain for sure. I notice if I keep my arms bent for too long it cuts off circulation and my hands go numb which wakes me up at night and have also had pain between my shoulders regularly that I thought was just from spending too much time at my computer but am now wondering if it has to do with the drug. I am hoping that my cl...
Hello Everyone, My husband has been taking Xarelto for 11 days for a DVT discovered due to an unrelated nerve issue in his lower right leg. Since being on the meds he complains of being nauseous and doesn't feel like eating which is causing weight loss. He is also extremely fatigued. He feels tired, weak and has some tingling in his arms, legs.....also says that he feels "jittery" (he isn't shaking physically, but feels jittery). Has anyone else experienced any of these side effects? Do they improve? Thanks for any help that you can provide. We are very worried about all of this. ## Yes, those can be side effects of this medication according to FDA reports. However, they are usually transient and tend to go away, once someone's body gets used to the medication, but t...
I've been taking Xarelto and noticed when I switched to 20 mg once a day my bowels changed. Anyone had any bowel changes? ## I'm 41 and on no other medication and just completed a 3 month cycle of anticoagulants for provoked PEs after a long plane flight. Xarelto 15mg twice daily for first month, followed by Xarelto 20mg once daily for 1.5 months followed by Eliquis 5mg twice daily for two weeks. I should have switched from the Xarelto much earlier as I had horrible side effects including severe episodes of weakness (which sent me to ER three times), dizziness, tingling in hands and feet, anxiety, and GI issues m. It was definitely a bit of a poison to my system. One of the side effects of the 20mg was that it tore up my GI tract which included altered bowels. I've never had...
Hi all, I've been taking Xarelto for 6 weeks for a DVT in my calf (i'm in plaster with a broken ankle). I noticed some numbness and a strange tingling sensation in my pinky finger/ring finger in both hands. Since my dose was changed from 30 mg (15 mg x 2 daily) to 20 mg all of the joints in my fingers have become stiff and sore. The skin over the joints also feel a bit itchy??!! Has anyone else experienced symptoms like this? I'm just a bit worried as I have a family history of rheumatoid arthritis. I feel like i'm falling to bits at the seams at the moment, especially for a generally fit and healthy 31 year old female! ## I have a broken ankle.- did it 3 wks ago. 1 week later after continuous calf cramps got a blood clot. I am taking xarelto twice daily. Only my 4 th pi...
I have been on this medication for over a year and I am getting sores all over my face, arms, legs, private areas and chest. They are red and looks like they have blood in them. They itch, so they are slow to heal. I also get headaches, tingling in ears and weight gain. Am I losing my mind or is it this medicine and what can be done about it. ## Hello, Sue! How are you? Yes, you are correct, those can be side effects of Xarelto, though the sores are not common. As listed by the FDA, you may also experience nausea, dizziness and joint pain. You should inform your doctor, as you may need to switch to a different medication. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have had test afther test and seen five doctors but no one is blaming the blood thinner Xeralta. I was on warifin before b...
