Xanax One Side 2 On The Other

My mother in law is very ill. I am a stay at home mom so I am her caregiver during the day. My brother in law picked up her meds from the pharmacy yesterday and when I went to give her the 2 mg xanax bar I noticed it was different than usual. I tried looking it up but haven't been able to find anything. It is a white bar with three lines on one side there is a "Y" and the other side there is a "12". They are white. Has anyone seen these before? Are they new? I'm hesitant on giving it to her before I know for sure that it is definitely xanax. My brother in law never gave me a reason to worry about this but nothing surprises me anymore. Found these little pale blue almost who's looking pills that are found with x on one side and 74 on the other side. THATS supposed to be extended release XANAX but I've never heard of such a thing. I'm sorry to say but that description exactly matched 1mg Alprazalom(Xanax). It's small round blue pill with 031 and scored and other side has a fancy R. I do Not know y it's supposedly this med. but look for yourself and make sure!! With these pharmacutical company's one needs to make sure they're getting Only meds they need! I got a blue oval tablet and it has a1 on one side and nothing on the other side. They said its a Alprazolam 1mg but I've seen Alprazolam 1mg but it doesn't have the same on it,only blue oval tablet looks like it.is it the same as Alprazolam. Colonopin is a benzo.additive,but not bad as xanax. ## Don't fool yourself. My doctor said that and it is not true. I take 1 Xanax 3 times daily as needed for anxiety. They are 1mg each. And I also have a severe back injury witch I'm taking methadone for pain. I take 3 10mg tablets 2 times a day. My Question is When I'm taking my Xanax in the morning and my methadone should I Only take one of the type of medication and wait for some time before I take the other. Will one of the medications stop the other from working as well. Because most of the time in the morning I'm in so much pain I take my pain medication and my anxiety medication at the same time.
