Why Do We Take Clavam

i have a chest/sinus infection so i start taking clavamel forte this morning, but im not sure of the dosage for an adult ? ## Hi bonnie, Amoxicillin and Clavulanic Acid appear to be the active ingredients in Clavamel Forte. Dr. suggested this calvam 375 tablet for my daughter who is age 10. In a blood test we found her (W.B.C) is increased: 27100. And it should be: 11000... Will this tablet help? I had a UTI and i was given CLAVAM 625 and as i was in the fourth day of my dose i started feeling really weak in my joints, stomach upset and nausea, plus headache. I could not even move from my bed and i started throwing up. So i stopped the dose. It's been two weeks since i went to the hospital to check for the UTI and my urine was fine but i still feel the same, weakness and tiredness. How long will it last?

I've been using Clavam 625 and have noticed that I started getting a skin rash. Is this a known side effect? If so, please advise what I can do to help get rid of it. ## Also, is there any alternative to Clavam 625 that I could ask my doctor about? ## Clavam contains Amoxicillin and Clavulanic Acid, it is an antibiotic that's commonly prescribed in the U.S. under the brand name Augmentin and yes, a skin rash can be a normal side effect. Unfortunately, the only remedy is to stop taking the medication and let the rash wear off. However, you should contact your doctor about an alternative medication to use and an antihistamine, if they approve your use of it, may help with the rash.

Hi there, I've been prescribed this for the start of a flu, I recently went to a dentist for a tooth pain and the dentist has given me Clonamox 500GM caps to take , can I take these at the same time , otherwise I am normally very healthy. Additionally, these both contain Amoxicillin, so there isn't any point in taking both. Im have been taking clavamel forte 500mg/125mg twice daily for the last few days. Yesterday I was playing sports and noticed my hamstrings were extremely tight. I eventually had to stop after 10 minutes. Would this be an effect of clavamel? ## Hi, Robbie! Sorry about the problem you've been having. In some rare cases an antibiotic can cause tendon problems and you should contact your doctor immediately to have this checked out. i have an infection on tooth extraction site prescribed clavemel forte 500 3 times a day for 5 days how long will it take for infection clear please. ## Hi Annabel, The infection should be gone close to or by the time you run out of the Clavamel forte (Amoxicillin + Clavulanic Acid). If the infection is still there after the 5 days of antibiotics, you'll want to speak with your doctor. In addition, I have heard that vanilla extract works well for tooth infections as well as clove essential oil. I have personally used both of those oils for an area on my gum that became swollen and it healed the area in a couple days. Augmentin? ## We placed a call into GlaxoSmithKline (we assumed them to be the manufacturer because SmithklineBeecham manufactures other meds with BMP in the inscription) Anyways, after spending several minutes searching their reference materials, they were unable to find an exact match for this one. Even the lady on the phone was perplexed, because her reference materials encompass ALL manufactuered drugs, not just theirs. My Son is given this tablet for diarrhea. He immediately developed rashes all over the body and suffered for almost a week. Now he is suffering from flu. He is prescribed with wikoryl and clavam 65 (Amoxycillin). will the allergy for Ciprofloxacin will have allergy to amoxycillin also?
