White Pill G12

I found a large white oblong scored G 12 pill in my son's suitcase. What is it? Is it an antibiotic? ## Hello, Susan! How are you? This tablet is manufactured by Ingenus Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 1,000mgs of Metformin, which is most commonly used to treat diabetes. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, stomach pain, flatulence, and low blood sugar. Is there anything else I can help with?

Can anyone help me my dad has 6 loose pills they are round almost size of a dime white in color and have G 128 below the G on one side only of the pill ## What you do is type in the search: G 128, and you will find out what it is. ## Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a listing for this in any of the prescription drug databases that I've checked. That leads me to suspect that it's most likely something that's available over the counter. Where was it found? Some OTC products can be regional, so knowing the general location may help to narrow it down. I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. Does anyone else recognize this tablet?

it is slightly smaller than a nickle and is completely white. On one side it has a capital G and right underneath that there is the number 127. I found this in my son's room, can you tell me what it is? ## This is actually a generic or store brand of Tums, containing 75mgs of Calcium Carbonate.
