Where Can I Fill My Prescription

I am in Huntington Beach CA and this situation is out of control regarding filling prescriptions for oxycodone or any other pain pills for that matter. Do authorities not realize that the people IN PAIN simply cannot drive around 'pharmacy shopping' because they are in pain. So the people getting the pain meds are the ones generally that are not in so much pain or are in fact the ones that then turn around and sell them on the street. duh?! So are they facilitating the drug dealers because they sure as s*** stinks are not helping us, the people that actually need to take them and to the person that said cant you take something else? I have been prescribed and been taking Dilaudid 8MG for the past two years, ever since I switched from Oxycodone because of the trouble I had filling my prescriptions. I am prescribed it monthly, by the same doctor, and fill it at the same pharmacy. Always. Now they told me, on March 11th, that I have to wait until April 1st to have it filled. What the HELL? It is fairly common for shortages to occur towards the end of the year, due to mandatory manufacturing limits on controlled substances. In addition to that, Florida pharmacies are now being forced to comply with the mandatory ordering/stocking supply limits that they were ignoring for a very long time. the pharmacies in philly do not have endocet and will probably not get it until next month( March ) ## I'm sorry, this has been an ongoing problem, due to the enforcement of the regulations on how much they can order and have in stock each month. The best suggestion I can make is to speak to your doctor and see if there's an alternative medication, or a different dosage that you can take in the meantime, since some others may be in stock. I have sciatica in both hips 4 herniated disk in my lower back and rhumetoid arthritis has taken over my back I've had a script for 90 oxycodone 30 mg for 2 weeks now and it's the only thing that helps my pain. I have a prescription for hydrocodone 'take one every 8 hours as needed' qty 60. Got them to take instead of tramadol when I'm in a lot of pain. Last week & 1/2, I've been having major pain and the dr said I could take them every 6 hours til we get worked through this. So, I'm sure I'll run out, as I'm already getting low, before the monthly refill of all my meds. I live in Houston, TX (77092 area) and have called major, "mom and pop", even obscure pharmacies. I can NOT find a place that carries methadone! (10 mg. 120 ct.) I am so frustrated! The only tip I can give you, however, is to actually go to the pharmacies, with your prescription in hand to ask. Due to the high risk of theft, most of them will just tell anyone that calls that they do not carry controlled substances. I think under normal circumstances any licensed pharmacy should fill your prescription. It's not like they don't have the ability to (being a pharmacy and all), but whether or not the oxycodone's in stock when you get there is another story. Because that's something we can't always determine ahead of time (unless the doctor calls it in), it may come down to checking different locations in your surrounding area until someone can at the very least order your meds to arrive in a couple days.
