round white pill with an 627 on one side and nothing on the other ## This is Tramadol 50mgs, a generic for Ultram. This is classified as a narcotic, however it was derived from a sythetic one in a failed attempt to reduce addiction and side effects. Thus they have a medication that acts like a basic anti-inflammatory, but carries the same side effects and addictive potential as an opiate. Some of the most common side effects include: nausea, vomiting, drowsiness and constipation.

I have been using this drug, lighty since 1999. I've had three surgical proceedures in the last 5 yrs. This drug was perscribed in 4 of the ops. With only a couple of pills left and suffering from severe trama of Gunshot and multiple Shrapnel wounds form the Vietnam War, my injured body(mostly feet, legs and lower back) has sometimes very painful nerve and muscle aches because of the well defined arthritis per bone scan prformed this summer of 2005. I only use this drug when the pain is very severe (on a scale of 1 to 10) the pain is 15. My V.A. Doctor Perscribed 20 tabs. (this is good enough for nearly one year for my use of this drug. But the head of the Pharmacy Dept. does not want to fill the perscrip. Hydrocodone/Acedemeph #3 pill does little to nothing and never has. I am usin...

How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in so much pain. Has your doctor made any other suggestions? There are other options you could try, such as Oxycontin, Oxycodone regular release or Dilaudid. I am a Pcod patient and have been taking homeopathy medicine for about a year, but with no improvement. I saw a gynecologist and she prescribed some hormonal tablets for me. I am going mad at my periods... I want to get it naturally. Please help me. Tell me possibly what I should do? ## Hello, Rosy! How are you doing? If you've already tried the natural supplements and they haven't worked, then trying hormones is really the only option you have left. They do successfully help many women with PCOD/PCOS and it doesn't mean that you'll have to take them forever. What type of symptoms have you been having from it, in addition to the menstrual irregularities? ## I am 26 years old with a pcod problem that I've had for about 6 months. I am taking 70 mg daily methadone, have been going to clinic for 2 mths now. I have a severe sinus cold/infection and was wondering what OTC medication I can take without the risk of an adverse reaction? Ugh, just want to be able to breathe again!!! ## I had a chance to look at the UCLA Health drug interactions list between Methadone and Nyquil. Unfortunately it lists a number of interactions which would likely deem the combination unsafe. This is because of the ingredients contained inside Nyquil (Acetaminophen, Dextromethorphan, Doxylamine Succinate, Alcohol, and more). 1. Methadone w/ Doxylamine, MODERATE interaction: "Concomitant use of opioid agonists with doxylamine may cause excessive sedation and somnolence. I have taken OC 40 for years, My friend called me and said she filled her scrip with the new OP, She hates them and crys over her old medicine. Walgreens has all old OC, filled mine yesterday. ## They can continue to fill prescriptions with the old product, until their supplies run out, then all pharmacies will have the new Oxycontin OP. I am very sorry to read of what your friend is going through. She should report her problems to both Purdue Pharma and the FDA. The more problem reports, they more attention they will pay to them. She can use the following numbers: Purdue Pharma number for drug safety/medication issues: 888.726.7535 FDA MedWatch number: 800-332-1088 Does anyone have any questions or comments?

diacereina 25 mg is the drug I am researching .What type of drug is it? Is it over the counter? Is it a vitamine? ## This medication is unavailable in the U.S. and I am sorry to say that other countries do not regulate their prescription drugs as strictly as the FDA does. That said, finding information on them is very difficult, since there are no databases which list them all, like there are for U.S. prescription drugs. Based on my limited findings, Diacereina is also known as Diacerein; (a name which may help provide more search options for your research). Meloxicam also appears to be related to this medication; quite possibly the U.S. brand name for it, but I haven't found info to prove this. Diacerein is a drug used in the treatment of osteoarthritis. It works by inhibiting inte...

I am 58 yrs old. I am in the final stage of Lumbar Spinal Stenosis. With this disorder I also have killer nerve pain, and numbness. In the past I have been on all of the oxy drugs. Took Methdone 40 4x a day for about 4 yrs. worked at first, but then declined. Next I was put on Opana 40mg. Twice a day. Did great on that until they changed the makeup of it, and it started to cause vomiting. I told my Dr. about it so he changed my meds to Morphine Sulfate 60mg twice a day. I started to take it, and 6 hours after I took it, it made me vomit horribly for 3 hours. This went on for 4 days. I called my Dr. and now he wants me to find another pain clinic Dr. He pretty much was my last option, for my area, and he is close to 2 hours away. Does this drug continue to cause this reaction, or if take...

I'm on 5 different meds due to post op problems from a major thymus gland tumor and surgercal removal. All my meds come via mail order from a different manufacturer or distributor. How do I know if I'm getting quality meds? ## You can post on here at any time, with the markings on them and someone will gladly check for you to see who manufactures them and verify what they contain. But, the most important question is, are they working for you? Technically all medications in the U.S. that are approved by the FDA are quality medications. However, not all of them work for everyone that tries them, because we are all different. What do you normally take?

My father has acidity problems. There is pain in the upper part of the stomach, mostly after dinner/evening. The doctor (Gastroentrologist) said that it is GERD and prescribed the following medicine, Capsule P-ZOLE-L, Tablet BIZLO-OD, Syrup LACTIHEP, Syrup CRISLIN and tablet ETICLID. He also advised for UGIE (endoscopy). He developed the gas and acidity condition after the treatment for diabetes and also has inguinal hernia. I am bit confused as the medicines keep changing when we see another doctor and the problem still remains. Kindly advice whether the prescribed medicines are safe and are for the treatment of the problem mentioned. It is problem because of hernia? can hernia operation be done in this condition? Kindly reply and advice. Thank you.

My husband had undergone angioplasty 10 months ago. He has been prescribed Cardace 10 mg, clopilet 75 mg, ecosprin 150 mg, covance D, rosuvas 20 and amlopres AT. How long should he continue with all these medicines. Is it ok if he takes either ecosprin or clopilet as in my opinion both these medicines are for thinning of blood. Please suggest. ## First, I would like to state that this site is not medical professionals, so we cannot possibly suggest any changes or duration to his use of these medications. How long he needs to use them is something he will need to discuss with his doctor, it may even need to be a lifelong thing, but only they can decide that. Now, there is probably a reason that his doctor has him on both the Clopilet, which contains Clopidogrel and the Ecosprin, which co...

I've been on hydrocodone and morphine ER for many years. Last year I got up off of the morphine and was just taking hydrocodone. Now I have a scheduled surgery coming up on my back. My pain medication is not enough and I have seven days till I get my refill. I thought maybe I could resume my morphine ER, one in the morning and one at night, as I didn't finish that prescription when I stopped taking them. Will that be OK? ## What has your doctor advised? It is very important to take only medications that your doctor approves, especially before surgery. what medicine I can take for pain if I am taking sulfameth trimethoprim ... please answer fast this pain is killing me ## Hi javier, Based on my research, sulfamethoxazole + trimethoprim does not list any drug interactions between it and various pain medications (such as oxycodone, opana, norco, etc). So in my opinion you should be just fine taking a narcotic along with the antibiotic. However, you should always consult with your doctor first before making any kind of adjustments to your current regimen. I hope this helps!
