I am a 75 year old male. As long as I can remember I have had problems with concentration, forgetting, start a project & not completing it, uneasy around people, find it difficult to carry on a conversation, i can go and ask directions when driving and cannot remember what I was told. I have checked the systems for ADHA on the Internet and I have about all the systems. I was slow in school as when I read something I could not remember what I had read. I have spoken to a number of Doctors on this but they more or less shrug it off. About 15 years ago a Doctor did put me on 50mg of Zoloft per day. My wife has very bad anxiety. She can't sleep more than an hour or two a night. Her dr. says it's depression, which she doesn't have. I'm just wondering if Zoloft is right choice for her. will it be ok for me to stop taking 50ml zoloft.i have only taken it for 3 days and cant stand the sweats. ## There shouldn't be a problem if you have only been taking it for 3 days. I started 100mg zoloft for 3 days then 100mg twice a day. Sees like too much for me. Its only been a week so can I just stop taking it safely? ## I would think that you should be fine since it's only been a week; however, I know everyone responds to these types of drugs differently, so I can't say for certain that you wont experience any withdrawal symptoms. If you do feel the need to take it slower, usually for drugs like this the safest way to stop taking them is to tapper off them, if possible. Some medications can be taken in fractions (actually cut into pieces) and these smaller pieces can be taken in place of the regular dose for a period of several weeks until the body is no longer dependent upon them. Hi Everyone, Recently had a crisis situation where I had been tried on numerous sleeping pills unsuccessfully and with terrible anxiety and depression. Now on 50 mg of zoloft and 100 mg of seroquel together for 3 days. I seem to be able to feel when the depression begins to ease up already but I am experiencing terrible panic and heightened anxiety in its place. My anxiety focuses a lot on death and age as triggers but just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience of increased anxiety? Will it eventually go away? I had been on 100mg of Zoloft for over 20 years. I recently decided I did not want to be on it any more. My doctor helped me wean off of it and lowered my dose every 14 days. My last official dose was just under a week ago. I feel worse this week than I have after the days of just lowering my dosage. Am I crazy? I am weepy, tired, and sooooo irritable. Started me at 50 mg for 4 weeks, slept very little. I was prescribed Ativan 1 mg helped me sleep about 6 to 7 hours. My Doc took me off after prescribing me 5 pills 3 times, total of 15. My Zoloft was raised from 50 mg to 100mg, now I'm having more trouble than ever sleeping. I went to my pcp and was prescribed zolpidem tartrate 5 mg, tablets. I took a 5 mg tablet once a night for 2 nights and couldn't sleep. I called pharmacist and was told to take 2 5 mg tablets, total of 10 mg per night. I have been taking zoloft 50 mg for 6 years now. I felt my anxiety coming back a little stronger so my doctor up my dose 25 mg. so I have been taking a total of 75 mg for 2 months. Hello Folks. I've been prescribed Zoloft after being on Vailum (for a inner ear issue). It made me tired. So I was switched to Paxil then Wellbutrin. These made me even more tired!
