Good day, I have tonsillitis and the Dr prescribed Purmycin. In 2015 I had same and was given Betamox 500 and Betaclav 1000 by a different Dr. How effective are these Purmycin tablets as it feels like I'm getting worse. There's even a white layer showing on this infected area. I also just took the betaclav and betamox but realized now that they expired in June 2016- what will happen? ## Purmycin is an antibiotic that is used to treat various types of bacterial infections. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin, and diarrhea.
