I read in the descriptions that this drug induces weight gain. My condition is osteoarthritis. The lower part of the prosthesis has moved and the pain is more or less constant. An operation to change the affected part has been recommended. Nolotil has been recommended meantime as well as trying to lose weight of course, yet I read that Nolotil is a weight inducer! Horrors!

I got my tonsils out last tuesday (I live in Spain) and the doctor prescribed Paracetamol 1gm and Nolotil (Metamizole) 575mg to be taken ever 8 hours on alternating 8 hours. I have been taking Yasmin for a few years now with no problems. But, starting 2 days ago I noticed some spotting, today I put in a tampon to make sure of where the blood was coming from and it seems to be now a little more than spotting.
