I'm taking hyospasmol and losec and want to know what they are used for? I went for scopes several times and don't know my diagnosis. I'm taking By mycin 100mg twice a day for ten days only on day one and have heartburn can I take losec or something similar ## By-Mycin contains the active ingredient Doxycycline, which is an antibiotic used to treat various types of infections. Losec contains the active ingredient Omeprazole and, while you should check with your doctor or pharmacist to be certain, I am not finding any problems listed between using them together. Most of the antacid warnings pertain to calcium based ones, because it can interfere with the absorption of some medications. Is there anything else I can help with?
