I took pill 3 hours ago and i am in the same amount of pain if not more than when i went to hospital. Could i possibly been misdiagnosed with ibs. ## Hello, Jess! How are you? What Hyoscyamine does is help alleviate the intestinal spasms associated with IBS and other gastrointestinal disorders, but it will take some time for it to reach its full level of efficacy in your body. You should only take it as prescribed and give a few weeks, to see if it works for you. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including dry mouth, blurred vision, dizziness and flushing.
