Artridol has been a lifesaver for me - I have Lyme disease and the joint and muscle pain is so bad that sometimes I had to remain in bed. I have been taking Artridol for 3 years now, one every 2-3 days, with NO sideaffects, and I have total bloodwork done yearly, and check my blood pressure regularly. I take it at night before bed, and by morning I am like I was in my 20s (I am in my70s now) with lots of energy and NO PAIN! I take one about every week, can I safely increase the frequency? It seems to be less effective fthan when I started using it. ## Artridol contains the active ingredient Glucosamine, which is a supplement claimed to help with joint health. As such, it is not a medication and is not actually proven to help with anything. That said, most of these supplements are taken daily, rather than weekly. So, if it was helping you, there is no reason you cannot take it more often. Just don't overdo it, because everything can be dangerous if you take too much. It contains Indomethacin (a potent nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory) and Betamethasone (a steroid class medication.) Thus, there can be some risks associated with taking it, which as listed by the FDA, may include increased risk of bleeding, elevated heart rate, elevated blood pressure, fluid retention and heart failure. So, it may be contraindicated with some medical conditions and some other medications. Is there anything else I can help with?

My wife has arthritis and she needs to take Artridol for relief. We used to go to Mexico to get the medication, but we don't go there anymore. ## Where can I order Artridol over the counter? I can't get to Mexico to get them. ## You could always go to your doctor and ask for methocarbamol and a steroidal anti inflammatory drug (like prednisone). Those are the two main ingredients in Artridol, aside from the NSAID.

However, if you're looking for it in the US, you'd probably need to visit your doctor for a prescription first, as it does contain Rx ingredients. Hi, I was today prescribed Ardosons for acute pain and inflammatory process of the joint on my middle right finger. I made it clear to the physician that I have blood high pressure and that I was subject to a cateterism on 2006 due to ischemic peripheral vessels. He recommended 1 capsule for four days (with meals) only, however I found that this drug is not indicated for people with blood high pressure and persons with a cardiac history. Need to know what is in it? Is it causing my weight gain? I take it daily and have no pain. but have gain substantle weight. ## The information I am finding on Artridol lists it as being a supplement that contains Glucosamine, which is believed to help with various conditions that cause joint pain. That said, however, as a supplement, it has not been studied for side effects, as is done for actual prescription medications. Thus, it is difficult to say what may be causing your weight gain. Does Arthri D raise blood pressure? ## I have been taking Artridol for an year now, given to me by a dr. in Mexico. I take one every 2-10 days and it really controls my pain, together with other applications. Lately I have been having high blood pressure and was wondering if anyone else has had this problem? ## I take blood pressure pills and started taking Artridol. Took only 2 pills in 2 days and my blood pressure shot up and I felt like I had taken something like speed. I couldn't sleep and my heart was racing. I have taken it in the past before I go to bed with no side effects and this time it was in the A.M.. I won't do that again.

I only took 1 about every 3 days, for my knees, but my back really started hurting all the time, only took a total of 15 caps. it did help my knees, but not worth the pain now in my back, which is 24/7

I have been taking Artridol for several years from Mexico, but now that the scare of Swine Flu is on and I don't have a passport yet, I am wondering if there is an on-line Pharmacy that you know of that sells them.
