I just tasted the yellow ones with R039 on it and they didn't have a chalky taste to it but I did taste a bitter sour taste to it and they didn't dissolve quickly. I had to break it up pretty good with my teeth. Are these counterfeit? What exactly does the real xanax bitterness taste like? ## Like the most bitter thing you ever put in your mouth. I refilled my rx and got white bars with Xanax of front and 2 on the back but it was a little sticky and bigger then normal size bars. It's like the size of the green 3mg bar. Ok I have my latest prescription refills that are white with Xanax on one side and 2 on the back side. They were incredibly small and I've seen tons of bars. I thought they were fake . So I took 2 and let them dissolve, took a while to dissolve which is odd compared to real bars. So I went ahead and just took them. And them my friend said take one more and let it dissolve completely so I did it took a while but it ended up tasting like chalk but I do feel these a little I'm not gonna lie I just think something is wrong because those bars are like mini bars. I almost always get Dava Xanax bars, the green ones with s 90 3 on them and they seem to be softer in the past. Now the same ones that I get look identical but may be a lil skinnier not 100% sure. But they look exactly the same. They r just hard as hell. Some of it will disolve but it seems like the middle part won't. They r way harder to break into three pieces but they take five minutes to dissolve in your mouth. Does Nirivam work as well as Xanax? ## In my case - I have severe panic attacks nirivam works 100 times better for me. I have 3 mg xr xanax. But they taste sweet... I took one around 10:00pm sublingualy (by letting it dissolve under my tongue) and i felt a benzo type effect for about 1 hour then normal and 6 hours have passed by and i'm not tired. You have to be careful what u take... I always thought as long as the bar was yellow with the cursive R on it with 039 I had no worries until I ran across some that take long to dissolve in juice and no matter what u do to it the medicine is strong strong but still gave me no effect.... Def my fav of the sticks, except the yellow ones. I've been taking this medication for over 14 years and yet to EVER have a Name BRAND STICK, so I cant compare any generic to it, but I've had name brand .25 .5 and 1mg. To be honest I like the sandoz generics better than the name brand ones. Dava 2mgs are a good generic as well. So I think a name brand stick wouldn't be that effective either compared to a dava or sandoz. Right? ## I always get the 2 mg bars with Xanax right on the back. Or the Circle ones from Walmart. Unfortunately, the sprite test is not enough. Bars that dissolve quickly isn't because of the alprazolam; it's due to the filler. Xanax filler is designed to dissolve quickly so the medicine is fast acting. Some fake bars out here are designed with the real filler. Usually (not all the time), this is a mistake of the pharmacy so they throw them out. But some hustler gets the bright idea to fish them from the trash and flood the streets with them. They have no taste. But also you have some fake bars floating around WITH a taste. I made the mistake of going by it having a taste other than concentrating on if the taste was a genuine alprazolam taste. You might taste something unpleasant but Xanax is beyond unpleasant! The yellow bars that have R039 are generics the way you can tell if any generic Xanax are real is by the number and when you put it in your mouth you get a bad taste right away if you don't taste nothing then they are fake or cut down with something and for the white ones as well they have to have a G 3722 and the actual Xanax will have Xanax on it with a 2 on the back but to test every Xanax you put them in your mouth and get a bad taste right away and won't dissolve that fast ## Thanks for the heads up ace! When I got them from a family owned pharmacy the bars were very pale. They had the imprint R039 stamped. When I took them one it instantly dissolved in my mouth. I tasted the xanax which was a mild xanax taste. Do private pharmacies order online? ## When you ask do they order online, yes many do from their wholesaler. Then UPS or another carrier brings it to them. What you describe sounds almost normal although Xanax shouldn't be mild, it is wildly bitter. ## I have to get generic. To the people in here that say "there is no way to confirm if the pills are in fact alprazolam "XANAX" without a lab. OMFG! REALLY? I don't wanna tick anyone off but there is in fact a sure fire way to tell. at least in my case. I have ptsd and have been on them for 20 + years. i also take them strange i guess. I place them under my tongue to dissolve. the reason i mention this is because Xanax has a VERY distinct taste. Even after all this time, i am not used to it. bottom line. If it taste like Xanax then it IS Xanax. I just filled a prescription for 90 greenstone 2 milligram Alprazolam and they seem to be working just fine. As a matter of fact I see no difference between them and my father's name brand Xanax.
