My dr prescribed me ultram 50 mg but I'm allergic to oxcodone ## Angeles, ultramodern does NOT contain oxycodone in it. I was on years ago. It's a mild pain reliever. I had a back surgery 17 years ago. that was not successful. My Neurosurgeon prescribed my 2 tabs of ULTRAM 50 with 2 tylenols, every 4 hours. For 15 years Ultram helped my pain. What is a good substitute for Darvocet N/100 for treating pain? ## Darvocet contains the active ingredients Acetaminophen and Propoxyphene, it was really the mildest narcotic pain reliever on the market. As to an alternative that might have the same pain relieving properties, have you tried Tramadol? It is not a narcotic, but works very similarly.
