I read that there are many side effects of Lorazepam. Anyone know of legal cases against this drug? Could someone please tell me if Ativan can cause glazing look in the eyes? ## Absolutely, it is a Benzodiapine, the same drug class as Xanax or Valium. It tends to cause an initial spaciness in people who have not adjusted to taking the med, or have recently experienced a dosage change. These type of side effects usually wear off in about 2 weeks, give or take a few days to account for a person's individual body chemistry and the way it may process a medication. Been on Sandoz mfr. lorazepam for 10 years; no problems; no need to increase dose. Sandoz stopped mfr. Now, can only get these generic's & Actavis. Having lots of troubles getting results; either nothing or zonked. Anyone else w/any experience which mfr. is closer to Sandoz (since FDA approves up to 2% differences in generics). I think most people who take lorazepam are familiar with side effects like any other script, however we also know what works and what doesn't. And I for one am tired of hearing the same explanation that you build up a tolerance. I only have encountered that problem when different mfg merge or deviated from what the formula calls for. ## Agreed. I was taking Watson for sometime. It did the trick with my anxiety. When I went for a refill they gave me Excell. It does not do it for me, only zonks me. The pharmaceutical companies buying and selling other pharmaceuticals the druggist can't keep up with them. I telephoned some local pharmacies also mom and pop pharmacies. You guessed, Excell. ## Unfortunately, the generic any pharmacy has in stock can change regularly, depending on what company is offering the cheapest price through their distributor when it is time to restock their supply. I was taking Ranbaxy for almost 3 years and was just fine. No anxiety and no side effects. Then about a month and a half ago I started getting anxiety. Found out CVS changed to Mylan brand. I found I could get one more month's supply of Ranbaxy but at the two mg strength. Was a problem with dosage amount because I had to quarter the tablets. They cut in half nicely but the quartering was always unequal. I read this board and knew to stay away from Mylan, Watson and Santos (sp?) So I called around to the mom and pop pharmacies and found one that carried Excellium.
