Wet Pill Prednisone

I was cleaning my coffee pot with vinegar & water and it spilled out on my counter. My prednisone pills 10 milligrams were in a paper envelope. Most of them got wet and looks like they dissolved a little. But I took them out of the envelope to dry. Some of them fall apart when I pick them up. Is it still safe to take these. They were given to me for a cough from sinus and allergies. ## I have follow up test every six month for cancer n removal of right kidney. Because fifteen years ago I had reaction to iodine. I have to take 50 mg 13 hrs before test then 50 mg 7 hours before the test n 50 mg 1 hr before test. Also I take 50 mg of Benadryl 1 hr before procedure. Nothing else to come off it. I am on vacation in Mexico. I have an awful wet cough and asthma symptoms. I have had this before and been medicated with Antibiotics, 5 mg prednisone and mucinex and albuterol. I started Zithromax and mucinex for 3 days the added 1 tab of prednisone 5mg. A couple hours later I had an allergic reaction. Breathing worse itchy eyes then hands then feet. 25 mg of benedryl stopped it. I have been using albuterol. Now I am afraid to take anything and go to a doc here. I have been sick with the cough for 5 days and dont go home for 6 days. My nights are bad. ## What have you taken before? Are these mess all new to you? ## Nope I've had them all before. i sometimes get confused with my prednisone pills i am taking both 1mg and 10mg and they are both close very close in apperance and size. can i coat them by put some chocolate powder sugar so i can eliminate taking the wrong dose? what do you recommend. ## Have you asked your pharmacist for ideas? I'd think that anything that marked them, without making them damp, so they'd start to dissolve would be fine. You'd also want to avoid something that would make them stick together, so I do have concerns about the sugar, because it could sometimes do that. I wonder if a good coloring pen, would work, since it would be something that you could use to mark them, without making them really wet?
