Hi. I started lamotrigine last Aug and lost my appetite in October. I have had significant weight loss. I don't want to go off of it, because it has been incredibly helpful mood wise. I found out i had type 2 diabetes in january of 2006, so my doctor put me on byetta, but i had to stop taking it in june 2006 because of the cost. My insurance doesn't cover it and it costs $187.00. It really helped me and i lost a total of 30lbs. Now i am scared i will gain the weight back. ## Byetta is really only a temporary fix for weight problems anyway, just like various diets, such as weight watchers, Jenny Craig and etc. you have to use it forever to maintain, if you ever go off, then those benefits are lost and the weight is gained back. If you really want a permanent weight loss, then you will need to set up a good diet and exercise plan, this way you can lose the weight in a healthier manner, and keep it off permanently. ## It's not that your insurance won't cover...

I am taking Redotex in the morning and orlistat twice a day, one after lunch and one after dinner, It's is my first day, I took them for a month about 4 years ago and los 45lbs, mind you, I was eating extremely healthy and was working out 3 hours a day, jog for one hour in the am and at night would do at the time turbo jam and as soon as I was done with that I'd go for another hour jog. My head would hurt every morning, it was more of a pain in the back of my lower head, but I stuck it out and if ever I felt dizzy I would eat an orange and I would feel better 15 minutes after. The combination is quite dangerous but if you are limiting your caffeine intake and are following your doctors orders you should be fine.. 2 months ago my doctor prescribed Pradaxa because I have Dvt. I have other health issues therefore I take quite a few meds. After 1 month on Pradaxa, I said to the doc, there are 2 things a woman doesn't want to happen, 1-gain weight and 2- lose your hair. My genius doc said, hair loss is not a side effect. Told him I don't know where ha gets his info. I took it upon myself to stop Pradaxa. I have been off for 1 week & my hair keeps falling out. Anybody know when the hair loss stops and will your hair come back. To add insult to injury I began to gain weight. I am not diabetic or in any stages. My doctor gave it to me to help with weight loss. I have about 30 lbs to lose and cant get rid of it. I am 55. Will this hurt me to take this? ## It seems that in some people a sluggish metabolism that makes it difficult for them to lose weight can be caused by insulin resistance and it can sometimes be helped by having them take an antidiabetic medication that can improve their body's use of insulin. Learn more Metformin details here. Common side effects may include nausea, dizziness, flatulence and stomach pain. There are possible risks with taking any medication, but only you and your doctor can decide if the possible benefits outweigh them. Have you discussed your concerns with your doctor?

I started Ozempic on July 24, it is now Oct 1 and I have only lost 8 pounds. I try to stay under 1,200 calories a day and I walk about 10,000 steps. My dose was 0.25 mg which is 10 units or 0.1 ML. Tomorrow, I start my 0.50 mg which is 20 units or 0.2 ML. My question is: Is it normal to lose only 8 pounds in 2 months? ## I've been on Ozempic for 4 months and I've only lost 10 pounds.
