I have had these white Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen 10-500 T. These are not as strong as the pinkor blue. A lot of powder on them. Still have pain while taking them. When one pill works better for some than others. I Cain 't understand that if that name brand pill would fix the problem at one a day but we have to take the generic taking more and still feeling the pain. Money is as so the root of all evil. Without this money people like me and a whole lot more feel this way to. Will never get well. The medicine does make you better. The generic will help along the way but no you won't get well. These are just my feelings I 'm not by know means trying to get anyone to question their Dr.. ## @Jeremy, I may be able to help shed some light on why a different brand of the same exact ...

are the yellow tabs stronger than the blue tabs?? ## The oval, blue tablet marked Watson 540 contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen. The yellow, oval marked Watson 853 contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. Thus, since the Acetaminophen tends to improve how well the narcotic Hydrocodone works, the blue tablet would be stronger. This medication may cause side effects, such as: nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and dry mouth. Learn more: Are there any other questions? ## I have taken Vicodin HP's they are oval and white -- I recently got some oval blue pills that say watson 540 on one side and a line on the other....I was told they are the same yet I do not get the same reaction --- can someone pls explain who is Viodan and who is Watson??? are eithe...

I found 2 blue oval shaped watson 540 pills in my sons room several months ago. What are they used for? ## this is a Lortab 10/500, my mom took these while battleing cancer, in the early stages, its for moderate to severe pain, they are addicting and you become very tollerant to the effect quickly, they have ahold of you before you know it and the withdrawal is more than the pain relief or the use of this. hope this helps, and I hope you havent found any since. ## Shirley is correct, this pill is Acetaminophen 500 mg and Hydrocodone 10 mg. Do you have any more questions or information to add? Please post back if you do. ## Yup hydrocodone 10 mg acetametaphen 500 mg. oblong ## I have a light oval blue pill with numbers S40 on it. What kind of pill is it? ## The tablet with the WATSON 540 marking on it contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen, it is a generic for Lortab, Vicodin or Norco. Learn more Vicodin details here. This is a narcotic analgesic and, as such, it does have the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Additionally, a recent request from the FDA has manufacturers lowering the amount of Acetaminophen in these products to a maximum of 325mgs per dose, due to the risk of organ damage associated with long-term use and the risk of overdose toxicity. Some companies have already begun to implement the change and the rest are expected to hav...

I have severe chronic spine and back pain. I asked for Norco 10/325. ( lower Tylenol) I recieved Watson 540 light blue oval pill with score on the other side. Can anyone tell me the name of that blue pill before I take it? Thank you to those who reply ## The tablet with the Watson 540 marking contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen, so a little more of the Acetaminophen than what you'd requested. Learn more Vicodin details here. Who did you ask to give you the lower amount, did you ask your doctor, or the pharmacy? If it was the pharmacy, they can't change the prescription, they can only provide you with what your doctor has prescribed.

I have the white pill and also the blue pill marked with watson 540. Aren't they both the same except for a difference in the acetaminophen? ## Research I have gathered shows they are one in the same pill. Even the milligrams are the same. I found that the blue version of Watson 540 is simply manufactured or distributed by more companies than just Watson. Do you have any other questions or concerns? Please post back if you do... ## The blue pill is stronger than the white one.. The blue pill has 10 mgs of hydrocodone and the white has 5 mg. the blue also has 500mg tylenol vs 325 mg..... Now, I have also had some white ones the same strength as the blue ones.. What did they replace it with they could be causing my issues? blisters, white bumps and swelling ## Hi, Jo! Sorry about the problems that you're having. However, as to what's causing the new side effects, unfortunately I don't have an answer for you. They've been reported by many people, but Watson states that they've only removed the dye and not changed anything else. Learn more Lortab details here. Found.. White pill imprint Watson 540.. 10 Mg...? Usually they are blue:10mg/500 hydrocodone/acephatamine Different color same imprint? Same thing or not? Usually they have different imprints or why change color..? ## It's interesting you mentioned that because "most" of the images I found have been oval blue pills. I did however come across a legitimate photo of the one you're describing (elliptical, white, imprinted with WATSON 540) at: rxlist.com/vicodin-hp-drug/patient-images-side-effects.htm NOTE: the dosage of the white pill is confirmed to be the same as the blue pill (500mgs of Acetaminophen + 10mgs of Hydrocodone). Manufacturer: Watson Laboratories, Inc. Although the way a pill looks is entirely up to the whit and whim of the company making it, it would definite...

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it may be habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. You can learn more Vicodin details here. Hi I am responding to the usually blue but now its white10 mg lortab Watson540 . Just want to let the skeptics know they are taking the blue dye out of them because it is poisonous to some patients my pharmacy advised me last month when my script changed ## Hi pooty, Thanks for taking the time to give us all a heads up on this! Two weeks after I started taking the new white watson 10 mg lortab I began to develop blisters on the back of my hands and wrist as well as noticing that they are not near as strong. I used to take 1/2 blue pill in the morning for years but now I need two whole white ones to be able to move around. Sucks!!! I also developed white bumps on my ankles and swelling in my left foot but not painful or any itching. anyone else? ## Hi, Jo! Sorry about the problems you're having… And yes, there are plenty of other people that have posted about experiencing odd side effects from them and stating that they don't seem to be as effective. Those blisters are concerning, it could be an allergic reaction to something they've used in these ones. Have you consulted your doctor? You real...

My prescription was changed from blue Watson 540 to white Watson 540 pills. However, I felt that the strenght was different from the blue colored Watson . Taking one blue Watson would stop the pain but one white Watson did not work. Does anybody knows if the strength is the same? I can't findi the blue Watson anywhere anymore ## What strength does your pharmacy list on the bottle? From what's been posted on here, so far they have just removed the dye from the tablets. There are others where it seems they have done this, as well, due to some people being sensitive or allergic to the dyes. However, the reason I am asking what the pharmacy lists as the strength is due to the fact that the amount of Acetaminophen in these tablets will be changing. The FDA has requested that the amou...

My friend and I are both prescribed Lortab APAP10/500's. I get the Watson 540 blue pills and he gets the M363 white pills. I have taken the white ones before, but for some reason, it did not help me as much as the Watsons. I don't understand this. Besides the manufacturer, is there any real difference between the two different kinds of pills? ## Besides the difference in manufacturers, there may be a significant difference in the inactive ingredients in each pill. Inactive ingredients found in M363 are: crospovidone magnesium stearate microcrystalline cellulose povidone corn starch silicon dioxide stearic acid Each Watson 540 tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: croscarmellose sodium crospovidone magnesium stearate microcrystalline cellulose povidone starch steari...
