My husband had taken 2 vicodin (unsure strength) on a late thursday night (1am ish) for pain, and needed a surprise drug test at 7:30am the following Thursday with his work. He had a script from physical therapy and a shoulder surgery, but unsure of if it was outdated because he tossed the bottle after those 2 left. With that said is that enough time for it to be out of his system 6.5 days? I have to take a blood test soon.my doctor put me on Vicodin 7.5. I havn,t been taking them. They make me sick. Hi. I took 20 5mg/500mg generic Vicodin's over the course of 48 hours. I started on a Tuesday evening and took my last 2 and half pills Thursday morning. I had a drug test the next Thursday morning so I had a full 6 days of no use. I am 33 years old, 5'7" and about 155lbs. I'm also in relatively good health; basically no health problems. I take 3 vic 5/500 and 1 vic 7.5 at bedtime per day as prescribed by my physician. Prescription is current. I have to take a drug test for school. Will this be a problem? I have read that i should take my prescriptions with me to my drug test... any information would be great. I am 5'3 and 100lbs

I am seeing a pain management doctor for bulging discs, sciatica and hyper mobility. I was prescribed hydrocodone 5/325 4 times daily. My pain this month has been intolerable so i have taken more than prescribed. I have enough pills left to get me through but I'm worried about the doctor giving me a drug test to make sure i am taking the pills as directed. I do not want to be dismissed from the program and i plan to tell the doctor the strength needs to be increased. So my question is how many days before my drug test should i regulate my pills so it shows accurately on the test? does aney over the counter drug give false positive for vicodin ## I haven't located any OTC drugs that cause a false positive for Vicodin. Have you have had any Poppy seeds (muffin or other form of food that contains them) prior to the drug test? Tylenol + Codeine combination does, but I know codeine is a prescription med. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is typically not picked up on a drug test. However, you should always bring your current prescription meds you are taking to a drug test so that they can be documented at that time. Even if something does pop on a test, if it is a legally prescribed or over the counter medication, it won't be counted against you passing. I hope this helps!

i never take hydros or pain meds ever but wed and thurs i took 2 norcos. (2 total) i had a urine UA the following tuesday at 630pm is that enough time to have it out my system! i drank water but not crazy maybe 4 cups a day some1 help im freaking out! ## Yes i take a 12 panle once a week for court i take about 6 to 5 a week befor it and always it only takes 72 hours.less u r very overwight!!! ## Hydrocodone ( Vicodin) has a half life of 3.8 hrs, you can do the math by deviding the mgs by 2 until you get to 0.01. You will be negative.of You can test yourself with over the counter test. If this one is neg. the lab does not send it for the more accurate test because it is too costly.

I wondered how employers handle a situation of when an employee fails a drug test if that employee has a legal script for it? Should I tell my employer up front I take prescription painkillers for chronic pain when I'm off the clock and would never take them during work? I don't want to be dishonest.

Hello.I recently took two Vicodin 750s, said watson on them. I took one on Weds 1/09/13 and and the other Thursday 1/10/13. Well today 1/11/13 I got a new job and they want me to take a pre employment drug test(5 panel) by Tuesday the 15 at the latest. My question is would I be clean by then? I am 125lbs, 5'4, have been drinking nothing but water and gatoraid all day long(i did have a glass of soda and some hot tea as well) and I am fairly active. I try and work out at least once a day. I am really worried that I might test positive. ## I am in the same situation. Did you pass?

When I give my Dr urine for him to make sure I am taking my pain meds, (I guess to make sure im not selling them?) Does the test tell him HOW MUCH vicodin is in my system, or just that it IS in my system? ## I believe it depends on your situation and y ur being tested because there is more expensive tests they can run that can determine the approx. Amount u have taken same as for benzos they come up as benzos unless they pay for a more expensive test they can actually figure out what specific benzo u have taken.. but if u gettin like a basic urine test for a job they won't pay for the more detailed ones unless its a job to become a dr or cop or fbi or somethin lol.. but I'm sure your dr. Will be doing the less expenszive 1 just to look for any indication of u using the pain meds...

Can my dr see how fast I have taking my vicodin in a bloodtest ? He prescribed me 15 of 7.5 , and I god back for a bloodtest in two days (may be unrelated ) so will he see how many I took in, two days ? My girlfriend was addicted to vicodin and had an expensive habit. She has been clean for 8mos now, and i occasionally drug test her with an otc test from walgreens. I recently had to take a blood test for my doctor that prescribes my Hydrocodone because I was just unable to give a urine sample. I had recently been sick and for 3 days did not take my Hydrocodone and i was a day late to go get them refilled so i missed another whole day of pills. I am wondering could this be why i got a letter from him stating i tested negative for it and he has now dismissed me from his practice? ## This happened to me too. If I break a vicodin up and put it in clean urine will that work to pass my pain contract. I like to eat medical marijuana brownies in the evening instead of taking vicodin, It lets me sleep better than taking my pain meds at night and I don't want to lose my vicodin ## Breaking up a Vicodin into clean urine won't help you pass a urine drug test. A urine drug test is looking for specific substances called metabolites. When you ingest a drug it turns into a metabolites which is detected by the drug test. If the metabolite in question is not detected the urine drug screen will be negative.

How long does the Opiate in Vicodin ES 7.5 /750 last in your blood stream ## The opiate in Hydrocodone will say in your system 72 hours. It would be wise to give it another day on top of that to be sure. Of course all this depends of what type of U/A you are being suggested to. There are the U/A's that test for the everyday drugs and of course they can test your hair which could show drug use as long a 6 months or more.
