Hello, am Tomi from Nigeria, I was diagnosed of Hormonal imbalance since 2012 and PCOS, I controlled it and was fine all through 2014 and now, I've been seeing my period since a month now with heavy bleeding and clots, I've used Tranexamic Acid and it seems not to be working. Pls what drugs can I use again to stop the blood from coming? ## I have a same problem ,I take pause 500 but I don't stop bleeding. ## Hi Tomi, This is Dee, do you have fibroids or have mennorraghia? My doctor prescribed me ethamsylate and tranexamic acid as maintenance tablets to stop bleeding. Unfortunately my bleeding has not stopped yet. Can I just take etamsylate instead of tranexamic acid for my pregnancy of 8 months? ## I am lyn here in the philipines . I already pregnant for 6 week but i had a bleeding for almost 2weeks. I have been prescribed this medicine called Trapic (the composition is Tranexamic acid and Mefenamic acid) 3 times a day for 4 days to stop bleeding, as I've been having abnormal bleeding between periods for more than 12 days now. I have taken Trapic for 2 days now. However, I also took 2 tablets of Restyl (Alprazolam IP 0.25 mg) yesterday to get some sleep and the bleeding has not stopped yet. Please tell me is the bleeding not stopping because of me taking Restyl?

I wanna know what this is used for? ## i went to a dermatologist for acne and post acne scar treatment and was prescribed tranexemic acid 500 tablets, when i looked up for its uses i havn't found its use for acne mentioned anywhere, i would like to know the ude of this drug in acne particularly and other skin treatments ## All I know regarding tranexamic acid in regards to acne is that is sometimes can be found in creams that are supposed to whiten old acne marks (something do to with post inflamatory hyperpigmentation). I am suffering from over bleeding since Feb 14 to till date. I got a miscarriage in September. After miscarriage I got regular period for 3 months. I was prescribed Tranexamic Acid 500mg 2 tabs 4 times a day. No progress. Later, I used Microgynon 30, one tab each day. The periods reduced only during the medication. Now, I used Northisterone 5mg 3 times a day for 10 days. During these 10 days it was reduced and at a point stopped. But I finished the tablets yesterday. Today it started bleeding again since morning. There was a bad smell with clots. I am worried a lot. Please help me. I am a Hyperthyroid and poly cystic ovaries syndrome patient. My menstrual cycle started from 28 Oct and did not end until 6 Nov. Then my Dr gave me Transamin tablets to ease my periods. After three days I had my internal checkup and ultrasound which was clear, but my Dr give me Dgest twice a day for 14 days. After ten days I forgot to take the Dgest, then in the following days my menstrual cycle started again. What should I do now? Should I continue Dgest or stop?
