Has anyone taken Tramadol ZENDOL - SR? I am curious what the affects are suppose to be and the difference between Tramadol HCL 50 mg? Is one more effective than the other? I have taken traditional Tramadol HCL 50 mg once every four hours and it doesn't help much. I have been prescribed and taking oxycodone 10 hcl, 1-2 tablets every 6 hours. Today saw my spine surgeon (nurse practitioner) to get a refill prescription and what I was given was oxycontin 10 mg extended release, the prescription says to take 1-2 tablets every 6 hours. Isn't this too much from what I have been taking? My pain level has been maintained on the oxycodone 10 hcl every 6 hours along with tramadol 50 mg every 6 hours and neurontin 600 mg 4 times a day. ## No, it's still the same dosage of the relevant medication, because Oxycontin also contains Oxycodone. What is the difference between tramadol hcl 50 mg and oxycodone 30 mg tablets ## Tramadol is a centrally acting analgesic of the opioid class, but it is not classified as a narcotic. It really doesn't work as well as the actual narcotics do, for some people. Oxycodone is an actual narcotic and is much stronger and more effective for a lot of people. Since they do share similar characteristics, the side effects that they both can cause are very similar and can include: nausea, dizziness, constipation and drowsiness. I broke my Tib/Fib bones above right ankle 10 months ago, had them set, cast for 3 months, followed by 6 months of pt, and now home, but pain still presents it self when I bare weight on right leg. Take water aerobics three times a week to help healing, but pain persists, Doc prescribed Tramadol HCL 50 mg tabs, but had no affect after a week of taking 3 times a day. Now he prescribes me Hydroco/Apap 10-325. While it puts me out of my mind, can't function on computer to sleepy to work, the pain is still there. Is tramodol gluten free. I suffer from bulging disc and recently diagnosed with celiac I just don't know what I can take when need relief ## To my knowledge, most medications don't contain gluten; but to know for sure you would most-likely have to contact the manufacturer of this specific pill or do some self-research for a list of the inactive ingredients in each tablet. If the manufacturer isn't listed on your Tramadol prescription, then I can just as easily look up the imprints and markings on your pill to try and determine what these inactive ingredients may be or who the manufacturer is.
