Tramadol is not a narcotic but a very powerful pain medication without being a narcotic ## You are correct, it is not a narcotic nor a controlled substance; however, I have not found it to be a powerful pain killer. It has been abused a lot and is addictive but it did nothing for my pain, and is only recommended for mild to moderate pain. ## Does Ultram have the same effects as Percoset or Vicodin? ## I think I can add some valuable information to this post to better explain this issue… Tramadol was at one point classified as a narcotic opiate, but when it was found to not be as effective at treating pain, it was reclassified as a centrally acting analgesic. The way Tramadol came into being is because an attempt was made to take all the beneficial effects of an opiate ...

Tramadol, sold under the brand name Ultram among others,[1] is an opioid pain medication used to treat moderate to moderately severe pain.[3] When taken by mouth in an immediate-release formulation, the onset of pain relief usually begins within an hour.[3] It is also available by injection.[10] It may be sold in combination with paracetamol (acetaminophen) or as longer-acting formulations.[3][10] ...

My doctor believes there will not be a problem using these 2 together; perhaps it just diminished ultram's effect only. Has anyone ever taken the two together and can assure me that might be the only effect? ## Hello, Brenda! How are you? The Bupropion in the Contrave can increase the effect of Tramadol, while the Naltrexone can decrease it, but those are the only issues listed by the FDA between these medications. The FDA classifies Tramadol as an opioid and warns that it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Contrave may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, nervousness and anorexia. Can anyone that's taken them together chime in with their experience? ## Thank you sooo much...

Ok the dark red relatively large round tablet is coated with red, when split the inside is white. One side is scored the other imprinted with 225. Commonly Indian made, and the same look is also manufactured in Egypt.. Now my understanding, the high concentration as well as coating is supposed to make it time-release. One notice is that this is a bit mellowing and strong...It also gets me hungry, now the original ones ultram or tramadol capsules yeild a real stimulating euphoria, confidence, talkative, clever, insomnia and appetite suppression but no anxiety or palpitations like amphetamines and a terrible comedown follows in 4 -6 hrs.. Taking tramadol with downers like little benzos enhances the analgesic effect and the mellowing relaxation.. Generally speaking tramadol compared to oth...

I've been taking 50 to 100 mg Tramadol per day for 3 years. The prescription is for 200 mg per day. I noticed that wehn I go a day with 0 mg I feel a little edgy. Now I'm really worried becasue I had ankle surgery 14 days ago and I haven't taken the tramadol because I'm taking percocet. When the percocet wears off I feel very edgy, slightly nauseous, depressed and achey all over. Now I'm afraid that when I run out of percocet I'll be really sick from the tramadol withdrawal. Has anyone out there experience with tramadol withdrawal? How long does it last. How sever is it? ## I've taken Ultram 300 XR for several years now. I stopped taking it back in the summer to detox my body. I didn't experience any withdraw from it. I would be more concerned about the P...

I've been taking Tramadol (Ultram) for 4 months for an ankle injury. I only take it as needed, which is no more than 2x's a day. 3 weeks ago I started developing hives that would come and go. My skin would itch, increasing in severity at night. I couldn't stand it so I went to the minor care office (5 x's ! ) I was put on 3 rounds of Prednisone and the hives disappeared each time only to reappear when the Prednisone ended. The doctor did blood work and did a biopsy. The blood work came back fine, showing I had a drug allergy. After stopping all my meds and reintroducing them (one at a time) it became very clear it was the Tramadol! The rash is better since stopping the Tramado, but my question is (Finally), how long can I expect it to take for this drug to clear my syste...

My tramadol is blank on one side and "AN627" on the other. Does it contain aspirin? ## No, this tablet contains just 50mgs of Tramadol, an analgesic, the active ingredient in Ultram. Tramadol is also not available coupled with Aspirin, it is only available coupled with Acetaminophen, as a generic or under the brand name Ultracet. It may cause side effects, such as: nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. Are there any questions or comments?

I took 200mg codeine in cough syrup and usual .5 mg of xanax at 830. 2 hours later I had a splitting headache and took 50mg of tramadol. I'm slightly concerned because of brochitis and respiratory issues I've read about. Is this safe? ## My findings state that there are in fact potentially unsafe interactions that apply to all three of those medications. Quoted below are the precautions you should be aware of: Applies to: Codeine, Ultram (tramadol) "Ask your doctor before using Codeine and Tramadol together. Using these medications together can increase your risk of seizures, breathing problems, and other side effects. If your doctor prescribes these medications together, you may need a dose adjustment or special tests to safely take both medications. Tell your doctor if you...

I have just been prescribed the generic Tramadol-50 mg 1 pill 3x a day for knee pain. Tramadol is the generic of Ultram 50 mg. ## I am trying to find out if Ultram is addictive and is it a opiate. ## I have been taking suboxone for three mths, I started taking it because of addiction to hydrocodone. I am going to run out before its time for my refill. I will be out for a week. Will I go into withdrawl? What can I do to help me make it to refill date? ## In regards to Tramadol being addictive, it is not classified as an opiate, but it is derived from one, so yes it can be habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more Tramadol details here. And as to running out of Suboxone early, the best thing anyone in that situation can ...

green capsule, nothing written on it package says Aurotrama. I ordered Ultram or Tramadol ## DID YOU ORDER THIS FROM INDIA? IF SO I HAVE THE SAME MEDS AND IT IS TRAMADOL. ## I can't guarantee it, but that is what they claim it is, Tramadol. This is an analgesic. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. You can read more here: Does anyone else have experience with using this? ## Yes, I also ordered the same thing for menstrual cramps. My Dr wouldn't give me anything and told me to take advil because there are so many drug addicts out there the people who genuinely need the pain meds (my case, endometriosis) Dr's won't write scrips for them. I have the green pills and they seem to have the same effect as the Ultram (Tramadol) anyway,...

## Would you please send me all the information on Ultram? Side effects, usage and symptoms.. ## CAN YOU PLEASE SEND ME SOME PICTURES ON ULTRAM ## Ultram Information ## As to pictures, Ultram is a name brand for the drug Tramadol, there are, literally, thousands of Pharmaceutical Companies that manufacture generic version of drugs after they have been released from their proprietary patent. Therefore, it is impossible to provide you will pictures of all possible Ultram pills in existence. There no guidelines that require all drugs with the same active ingredients to all look the same. The color, shape and size are all up to the whit and whim of the manufacturer. oblong white pill ## These are both generic Tramadol 50mg, generic for Ultram. Ultram is not a controlled substance; however, it has been proven over the years that it can be very very addictive. It is used for mild pain. Side effects include insomnia, loss of appetite, dizziness, drowsiness. ## And I would just like to add nausea to the list. LOL! Any word if tramadol will really be reclassified ad a controlled substance after Feb 27 and unable to be purchased online??? Im kinda freaken out about this. ## From what I could gather, Tramadol (Ultram, Ultracet, Ryzolt) is not a "federally" controlled substance, at least yet. However, states may individually classify it as such. As of December 2008, Kentucky has classified tramadol as a controlled substance. Although it is likely that other states have already done so as well. I believe NY and Oklahoma are two others that recently made a controlled substance. It is very possible that tramadol will be reclassified as a controlled substance on the federal level, but I have yet to find any supporting information pertaining to Feb 27th 2013. Has anyone else heard when it might be...

Which medication is stronger Tramadol or Lortab? ## Lortab, it is actually a narcotic pain reliever containing Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone. Tramadol is a generic for Ultram and it is a non-narcotic, it does work well for some people, but not great for severe pain suffers. The opiate drugs are definitely stronger. ## Lortab is better Ultram is not good for nothing actually but give it a try may help but If your in reall pain get Lortabs

My brother passed away two years ago from a Tramadol overdose. He had a 15mg of Tramadol per ltr. of blood. He weighed about 205 lbs and was about 6 feet tall. Is there any way to determine how many Ultram ER 100 pills he would have had to take to reach this level? A guess or estimate of a range would be helpful. ## Hi Bob I am very sorry to hear about your brother. The average human body contains between 5 and 6 liters of blood, so if we assume that your brother had 5.5 liters of blood in his body then that would equal out to approx 82.5mg of Tramadol. That actually does not sound outside the normal range based on a 100mg extended release dosage. Are you sure it was 15mg per liter? I also hope that I did not make a mistake with my calculations. Could it also be that he had a bad reacti...

I had both rotor cuffs removed 4 yrs ago been on 750 Vicodin would like to get off of them, will Ultram help? ## I really don't think that Ultram will help. The reason for this is because it contains the active ingredient Tramadol. While Tramadol is listed as just a centrally active analgesic, this has changed several times and been under severe debate. When it was being investigate, the developers were trying to create a medication that would work like a narcotic, but not have the side effects and the addictive nature, however, what they achieved was actually the opposite. It is nowhere near as effective as narcotic, yet can still cause the same side effects, such as nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation, plus it still has the propensity to cause abuse and addiction. There...

just what to know my kid had some,so i want to be sure if thats what he had thanks. ## Tramadol is actually a generic for Ultram, so there are quite a few on the market, all made by different manufacturers. This means they all have different markings, depending on the manufacturer and dosage, so there is no way I could list them all here. If you can post back with more details, such as the markings on the pills he has, I will gladly check it for you. Here are just a few examples of Tramadol and the markings on the tablets, all of these are white, round tablets: AN 627 50mgs Cor 127 50mgs M T7 50mgs PAR 821 100mgs PAR 822 200mgs PP 100 100mgs and there are many others, some are in other shapes and colors, as well, plus there are generics for Ultracet, which contains the Tramadol, with Ac...

Small white caplet with McNEIL on one side and 650 on the other side. ## I located the pill to be a 50 mg Ultram tablet (also known as Tramadol). NOTE: the correct marking on this pill is MCNEIL 659 (not 650) Tramadol is used for treating moderate to moderately severe pain. The drug has a wide range of applications, including treatment for restless leg syndrome, acid reflux, and fibermyosis. For information about this drug, please refer to the link below... If you have any more questions or concerns, please post back and I will be happy to help you. ## On a more delicate note: I have seen constipation listed as a possible side-effect of Ultram. Since I began taking it in 1996, the opposite has been true. I can almost set my watch by it. 40 minutes after ingesting a 200mg dose, I am able...
