Topamax Constipation

My son who is 3 and a half yrs old now, is on valparin 200 since he was 6months old, due to seizures which started occuring when he was 6 months.Topamax 25mg was added to valparin200 bcos seizures continued to occur inspite of the valparin200 therapy. Now the condition is that he is showing great signs of recovery and understands almost everything. But the problem is that he is unable to speak properly, also he doesn't have a proper bowel control. He also has the problem of non coordination of his body parts and is unable to run. There is also a problem of excessive saliva, constipation and frequent viral infections with him. Now provided the situation that he has't had a seizure for almost 1 year or so, i want to know what are the chances of him getting absolutely normal in beh...

Thorough education by my Pain Management Board Certified Doctor, and his Physician Assistant. The reason Doctor's like Methadone, is it reacts dually as both a traditional narcotic pain reducer, as well as working on NERVE pain. Very few narcotics work on Nerve pain. Usually you have to add Lyrica, or a step therapy drug such as gabapentin or Topamax. So its two birds with one stone. Also, methadone, at therapeutic doses, is lower in amount necessary to work, hence less side effects, including brain fog, dopy, or constipation.This is the same reason Pain Specialists prescribe (or did) Oxycodone. Hello. I'm a 55 yr old lady who ruptured a disc in my spine. I was about 30lbs overweight. One of the Clinicians advised that losing the weight would help with the healing of my back. She put me on Phentermine and Topamax. The weight came off pretty fast, about 5 lbs per week. But the side effects were very unpleasant. I found myself planning my suicide. Came too close for comfort. So I weaned myself off the meds. That was 3 months ago. Since then, my hair has been falling out. It's about 3/4 gone with no regrowth yet. I also started having acne, like I'd never had before. It's like cysts on my face and upper chest. My digestive system is totally messed up with pain and diarrhea/constipation. Nothing has helped regulate it (such as Rx for IBS). All blood tests normal!!!!...
