100+ Topics FoundIs storing prescriptions on top of refrigerator a good idea or bad (because of the heat-if any) on top of the refrigerator? ## Bad, hide them. You should never leave your meds out ## Generally no, that is not a good idea due to the fact that heat can be released from your refrigerator due to it's cooling mechanisms, as well as the fact that moisture can also escape, both of which the FDA lists as contributing to the degradation of medications. The best place to store medications is a cool, dark, dry location. Are there any other questions?

Also your local Ship or Shine counselor ## most drug companies offer some sort of patient assistance program that would allow you to get the medication at a discounted rate or free. What medications are the most prescribed anxiolytics? Is there a list I can refer to? I am also interested in the differences in prescribing between countries. Any ideas Verwon? ## Hmmm.....I'm thinking. Usually, prescription drug sales are broken down by year, so I think you'd really have to look at one of the top 100 or top 200 lists and then just comb through for the ones used for anxiety. All of the relevant lists for 2011 are up by now, it will be a long time before any for 2012 are available, so I'd suggest starting with the 2011 top prescribed drugs lists. As to how to sort by country and find the differences there, I'm sorry, but I am not aware of a way to do that. Many countries don't keep records that are up to date and accurate, so it's very hard to br...
I am wondering if you can still obtain prescriptions for these diet pills, and if so, where can they be obtained? ## I'm sorry, but I don't know what you are referring to. Do you happen to remember the actual medication name, or the active ingredient? ## I believe they were called Benzedrine or in non-medical vernacular, bennies or cross tops. In the 1970s I suffered a serious back injury and had to quickly take off some weight, so a doctor prescribed them for me and they worked perfectly. Can you tell me if the old Benzedrine diet pills are still legal and available in the U.S.? Thank you ## From what I can find, it appears that it is no longer available. However, it was closely related to Amphetamines and there are many of those that are still on the market, which you may wish...

Need top 100 drugs used in the united States in 2015 ## A top 100 prescription list based on each medication's sales from 2015 can be viewed by visiting the link below: Top 100 Prescriptions (via Sales) I realize there are other aspects outside of sales that could potentially dictate the number of drugs that are being used in a given year - However, no one can accurately measure everything outside the point of sale behind closed doors. So hopefully this helps give a ball park estimate.

Just thought I'd post for those looking for a remedy without spending money on drugs: theamericanwriter.hubpages.com/hub/3-Tooth-Pain-Relief-Methods - Take the poll. ## Hey Mike, thanks for sharing this info! I always try my best to opt for natural remedies since they usually don't have the same risk factors as prescriptions do with regards to side effects. Clove oil and pure vanilla extract have done wonders for toothaches I've had in the past, eradicating the infection within days. However I haven't tried any of the options suggested in the link you posted, such as cayenne, baking soda & sea salt, or pepper & sea salt.. so I'll be sure to keep those in mind in the rare event that I experience a toothache again. Have you had success with any of those remedie...

Can anyone tell me the prescription trade name for a cream containing baclofen 20 mg, ketoprofen 150(?), and lidocaine 50 mg? ## From my own investigation, pain creams that contain these types of ingredients are formulated in compound pharmacies and therefore do not have a trade name like many other topical prescriptions. These are just generic topical formulas that can vary in ingredients with anything from what's listed below, to other combinations that I have not included here: -Baclofen, Ketoprofen, Lidocaine -Baclofen Gabapentin, Ketoprofen, Lidocaine -Baclofen, Cyclobenzaprine, Ketoprofen, Lidocaine -Baclofen Gabapentin, Ketoprofen, Lidocaine, Dicyclomine -Ketoprofen, Gabapentin, Lidocaine, Amitriptyline Hope this helps! ## My compounding pharmacy calls it Baclo-Keto-Lido 2/10...
Yellow round pill with M on top and a 1 on bottom, scored in center. Small pill. What is the medication? ## Hi tambo, I actually came across two different pills that match your description: The first one is Methotrexate Sodium (2.5mg); which is primarily used to treat severe psoriasis, arthritis, and certain types of cancer. Manufacturer: Major Pharmaceuticals Inc. National Drug Code (NDC): 00904-6012 The second one is Clorpres (chlorthalidone 15 mg + clonidine 0.1 mg); which is used in the treatment of high blood pressure. Manufacturer: Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. National Drug Code (NDC): 00378-0001 Do either of these sound like a possibility based on any past prescriptions you may have had? ## Yes its a methotrexiate thank you
I fill ALL of my prescriptions with express scripts including my Roxicodone. I have a severe case of chronic Pancreatitis, which causes acute attacks almost every month. On top of this, which is unbelievably painful, I have 4 herniated discs in my back as well as a completely blown out left knee. I also have lingering pain from several gun shot wounds I was lucky enough to live through in Afghanistan. Express Scripts however sends my pain meds every 34 DAYS, LEAVING ME IN WITHDRAWAL, for the 1st couple months, until I started cutting the amount I took from 4 to 3 the last week, so I don't suffer too bad from pain or withdrawal. I wish I could find a legitimate pharmacy that fills my prescriptions in a timely manner and accepts my insurance. I guess serving ones country does not matt...

I have had many prescriptions over the last couple of years. Today I found a small, yellow, round pill, with the number 33 on one side and a capital E on the other. This pill looks unfamiliar to me. Does anyone know what it is? ## The pill you have is Topiramate (50 mg). Topiramate treats epilepsy in children and adults and was originally marked as an anticonvulsant. It is FDA approved for, and most frequently prescribed for, the prevention of migraines. It may also be used in treatment of fibromyalgia. You can view a detailed description of the drug, by clicking on the link below... If you have any more questions or comments to add, please post back so I can further assist you.
Anyone know of a Florida pharmacy that is filling written prescriptions for hydrocodone? Have not been able to fill for almost a month. I live in St. Lucie county. What the neck is going on? ## I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. This medication was changed to a schedule 2 drug at the beginning of October, which created a delay shipping it to pharmacies due to necessary labeling changes. On top of that, we are into the time of year when there is almost always a shortage of controlled substances, due to mandatory manufacturing limits. Once a manufacturer reaches their limit for the year, they can not manufacture new product, until the new year. Every year that I can remember, demand has exceeded supply and resulted in shortages. This is a narcotic analgesic, so i...
A round white pill. One side has a U at the top and underneath it is the number 158. The other side has a line separating the pill in half. ## Hello, Jane! How are you? The closest I can find to this tablet is one manufactured by Unichem Pharmaceuticals with the marking U 168, so can you please double check the markings and post back? They list it as containing 2mgs of Tizanidine, the FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. ## In one of my prescriptions, there were almost 20 of the U 158 pills mistakenly added. The U is on top and there is a line underneath it, then the numbers 158. I can’t find anything about it online and all I can find is U 168, which is not what my prescription was supposed to be either. Does anyone ...
oxycodone prices have doubled in less than 30 days in tenn. rumor has it that the manufacturers ,being top 8 have been sold an now there is only 1 producer of this product! ## It's not that there is only one manufacturer, now. That is only relevant to the name brand time released product, Oxycontin. The current problem stems from the fact that each year the DEA sets a manufacturing limit on how much of any controlled substance can be made and distributed. The figure is based on prior year prescriptions, as well as information from the FDA and the manufacturers, once the total amount is determined, it is split between the manufacturers. Usually, this gives a very good idea of how much the market will demand in the upcoming year and helps minimize how much is out there to be stolen an...
