I have been operated for papilliary carcinoma my thyroid gland is totally removed in 2003. Pituitary gland is still intact. Since then I am on thyronorm. For last few yrs I am on 112`5mg for 5 days & 100mg for 2 days. Now for last few yrs my chlostrol levels are around 267. Want to know whether it is because of thyroid medicine

I take Levothyroxin 100 mcg and replaced by Thyronorm 100 mg. is this comprable dosage and same effect? ## 1000 micrograms (mcg)= 1 milligram (mg) 100 mcg= .1 mg Since thyronorm and levothyroxine are one in the same medication (just different brand names), it becomes clear to me that levothyroxine 100mcg is a significantly smaller dose than thyronorm 100mg. That said, you will probably notice the difference in strength when switching to thyronorm. However I certainly wouldn't be able to tell you how this will effect you in comparison to your previous dosage, as everyone reacts to these medications differently.
