i m 28 yrs old.I had visited the doc for disturbance in menstural cycle for the first time and have been prescribed to take thronorm 25 for 3 mnths. I have been asked for testing of Thyroid nd s prolactin which resulted in TSH-6.8ulU/ml nd prolactin -43.9ng/ml.Can my tsh level be controlled and what does prolactin level depict.does it have any effect on getting pregnant. ## Wife tsh level is 11.9, is it difficult to get pregnant ## i have the prolactin hormone 6.8.what happens with this range?

I am a 50 yr old woman. When i checked my thyroid in November 2015, i started Thyronom 75 daily; one in the early morning on an empty stomach (at that time my TSH level was 4.34). Now i checked again on 23/08/16, and my TSH level is 11.34. Doctor instructed Thaironom tablet 75 & 100 to be taken on alternative days. (i.e.one day 75, then next day 100). I just need to confirm why it is increasing? I just received my labs, I'm 5'7" 150lbs, black male. My TSH 17.17 and my T4 1.08, I am currently on 100mcg, and my doctor increased me to 125mcg of levothyroxine. Does this seem normal, I was on 200mcg my entire high school and middle school life. Can the use of Tryptomer increase TSH thyroid levels? ## No, that is not a normal side effect of this medication, the NIH lists them as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, anxiety, and weight changes. What reason has your doctor given for the elevation? You may just have a thyroid disorder.

I have been taking tyhroxine for 20 years , my gp made and error and lowere my tyhroxine to 125mg from 250mg . in between this time I started appearing a rash . I went for a blood test and my level was underactive so I went back on 250g. My last result was TSH 50 and T4 was 9 and T 3 was at 6. T3 look too high and the T 4 too low in comparison with the high level of TSH. A week ago The TSH reads 10 and a day ago it read at 9. It is coming down very slowly but still too high. Does any one know how long it wil take for TS H to drop to normal kevels. I have been on levythorixine for almost a year first it was 25 then 6 months later they upped it to 50 now 75 3 months later. Since September I have been slowly going down hill. I have been to the ER twice with lightheadiness and heart palpitations they have blown me off as panic attacks. I have been obese all my life except for brief periods where I Iost some weight only to gain it back. I'm now a 61 year old male, 290 lbs, 5'7" and was diagnosed for the first time with hypothyroidism in December of 2011, and I was started on 50 mcg's daily of Levothyroxine (Synthroid). I am 44 yrs old. I had been gone under surgery for thyroid in 1997. Till 2011 I haven't checked for tsh levels. When I checked in 2011 it was 64 ui/ml tsh and t4 t3 were normal. Doctor prescribed me for levothyroxine 25mg and gradually up to 100 mg. When I was taking 100mg my tsh level was 10 ui/ml which was near to normal. But I was experiencing many things like headaches, dizziness and heart beating. Then doctor advised me to take 50mg per day but now the tsh is 32 ui/ml. I do not understand what should I do. I started taking levo....about 3 years ago. Off and on really, i am terribly bad at taking medication. In February I stopped taking my levo (Don't ask me why but I couldnt tell you), fast forward to last week when I go in for my doctors follow up (not all due to the thyroid), I didn't say anything to the doctor about not taking the levo and proceeded to have my blood work done. I get the call a couple days later that my thyroid levels were perfect. So i tell them that cant be right and we should retest, I retest and the same results, perfect. How can they be perfect when I haven't taken my meds in 5 months? So either i was taking it before and not needing it or my body just happened to heal itself? Doubtful. my new dr changed my Synthroid from 125 down to 112 and I am now fatigued , swollen feet, light headedness and wt gain. Is this the reason? Can it cause heart failure? ## Hello, Nancy! How are you? Read about your disease on the internet and understand how you acquired low thyroid hormones. Find the list of symptoms one expects to see over time if unmedicated and the dangers of undiagnosed hypothyroidism. I have chronic migraines and the first time I took the medication for hypothyroidism i suffered an on-going migraine. I am a 26 year old married woman and my weight is 77kg. The TSH levels in my blood is 100 MCIU/ML. The doctor has prescribed Thyronorm (100mcg; after breakfast) and Deavit-Forte capsules (after dinner). I have been taking the above said medicines since 3 weeks now. Of late, I have started feeling very hungry even after having my meals. Please let me if this is normal or a side effect. What are the other side effects of Thyronorm? Hi all, 6 weeks ago I had my operation and was told that as only half my thyroid had been removed, I would not need medication. My level has come back at 7.87 and have been prescribed 25 mg dose of Levthyroxine to start tomorrow morning. I have hypothyroidism, is clearly that i have weight loss problems, my doctor prescribe to me levothyroxine88 mg but instead of loosing i keep gaining weight.
