I have been asked for testing of Thyroid nd s prolactin which resulted in TSH-6.8ulU/ml nd prolactin -43.9ng/ml.Can my tsh level be controlled and what does prolactin level depict.does it have any effect on getting pregnant. ## Wife tsh level is 11.9, is it difficult to get pregnant ## i have the prolactin hormone 6.8.what happens with this range?
I am a 50 yr old woman. When i checked my thyroid in November 2015, i started Thyronom 75 daily; one in the early morning on an empty stomach (at that time my TSH level was 4.34). Now i checked again on 23/08/16, and my TSH level is 11.34. Doctor instructed Thaironom tablet 75 & 100 to be taken on alternative days. (i.e.one day 75, then next day 100). I just received my labs, I'm 5'7" 150lbs, black male. My TSH 17.17 and my T4 1.08, I am currently on 100mcg, and my doctor increased me to 125mcg of levothyroxine. Does this seem normal, I was on 200mcg my entire high school and middle school life. I have been taking tyhroxine for 20 years , my gp made and error and lowere my tyhroxine to 125mg from 250mg . in between this time I started appearing a rash . I went for a blood test and my level was underactive so I went back on 250g. My last result was TSH 50 and T4 was 9 and T 3 was at 6. T3 look too high and the T 4 too low in comparison with the high level of TSH. A week ago The TSH reads 10 and a day ago it read at 9. I started taking levo....about 3 years ago. Off and on really, i am terribly bad at taking medication. In February I stopped taking my levo (Don't ask me why but I couldnt tell you), fast forward to last week when I go in for my doctors follow up (not all due to the thyroid), I didn't say anything to the doctor about not taking the levo and proceeded to have my blood work done. I get the call a couple days later that my thyroid levels were perfect. So i tell them that cant be right and we should retest, I retest and the same results, perfect.
