100+ Topics FoundI have been taking Jardiance for about 5 weeks now but have had to stop due to thrush that wont go away, I could cope with the thirst and peeing but not this constant thrush, its making me miserable, anyone else experience this and did it go away eventually? ## Hello, Sarah! How are you? Actually, that is most likely due to your being diabetic and not due to the medication. Diabetes is well known to cause thrush in women, according to the NIH. It would be best to consult your doctor, since they may be able to prescribe something that will help prevent it, because it is far more dangerous to go off of the medication and let your blood sugar get out of control. Are you on any other medications? ## Hi, I have been diabetic for 6 years, the doctor who prescribed Jardinance did say it would ...

Filed under MonurolSaw doc in April 2015, and was prescribed an oral liquid medication for thrush in mouth. Seemed to subside, but it came back about 5 days later. Doc prescribed pill for same thrush, which I finished. 1 week after finishing, thrush was back, so he gave me the oral liquid again, which I finished. 3 days later it was back, and he gave me the pills once more. I finished those, and started taking tea tree capsules. That has not worked. I started using the Oral B mouthwash with peroxide, which has worked a little for discomfort. I am really tired all the time, and I have horrible, painful sores and blisters in the roof of my mouth, and am at my wits end. I take pain meds for cervical spine pain, and even that does nothing for the discomfort. I wear dentures, when I can, and am very, very care...
Is Stanford Mouthwash recommended for the treatment of oral thrush when they are allergic to Tetracyclene? The thrush is a result of 1 week of broad spectrum antibiotic use for sepsis. What is the best remedy for this? ## Tetracycline wouldn't be effective at treating thrush, since it another antibiotic, it could cause it just like the other, or make it worse. And as to the Stanford Mouthwash, I am afraid that I can't really say, without knowing the exact ingredients. These products are regional and usually contain a blend of ingredients, the pharmacy knows what to put in it, when your doctor orders it, but there is no set ingredient list. The best remedy for oral thrush is an antifungal medication. What has your doctor recommended? ## The reason I posted (for my daughter) is th...

I am just curious as to whether or not anyone else had possibly experienced thrush while taking Savella. I finished a 3 week course of antibiotics and then started Savella about a week after finishing the meds. About a week after I started the medication I suddenly felt as if I was swallowing something in the back of my throat. I thought I had severe dry mouth. I went to the doctor to only find that I had thrush. They chalked it up to the fact I had been on clyndamyacin then went on a week course of Levaquin back to back. I then went on Dyflucan for seven days, but it did not seem to help at all. The doctor then prescribed me another week long dose of Dyflucan along with me taking probiotics and yogurt everyday it still seemed after 11 days it was still out of control. I discontinued th...
I take a very high quality probiotic that kept away thrush, I then was prescribed amoxicillin after I had suffered a few days of a flu, so I stopped my probiotics for the length of the antibiotics. The thrush has returned. I've completed the antibiotics, had enough for 1 weeks dosage. I've upped my probiotic & am eating extremely healthy, should the thrush clear up. I suffered with it for almost 3 years then these probiotics did clear it up. I'm in a lot of pain please help. ## Hello, Taz! How are you? Antibiotics can cause thrush, as a side effect and stopping the probiotic while taking them may have allowed it to get out of control, again. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Ha...

I would like to know if taking Canex V could help? ## Hello, Shwele! How are you? If it is occurring during, or after urination, then you may have a bladder infection, or a urinary tract infection, which would require an antibiotic, so no Canex V would not help with that. I was given this med for thrush. I have been on predisone for emphesema and I developed thrush. I got a headache and dizziness. ## This is more than one medication, are you saying you were given all of these? The Nystatin is an antifungal medication, so it is appropriate for treating Thrush, since it's an oral yeast infection. The Diphenhydramine is sometimes given, if the yeast infection is causing dizziness, since is an antihistamine. However the other 2 are not normal treatments, so you would need to ask your doctor why they prescribed them. The Hydrocodone is a narcotic and that's probably what caused the headache and dizziness. And the Tetracycline is an antibiotic, these are not usually given, because they can cause, or worsen these types of infections.

Has any one had taken Oravig for oral thrush? I had been prescribed several antibiotics over a 4 month period and developed oral thrush. I have been prescribed other prescriptions for the thrush with no success. I have now been on Oravig for 7 days with 7 more to go. I am wondering if anyone else has had success with it and if so, how long did it take before you saw results? Thanks! ## Oravig contains the active ingredient Miconazole. The number of days you are on it is the normal length of its use. As with any medication, it helps some people and there are others that it does not work for. The only way to see if it works for you is to use it for the full 14 days and see if it clears up the Thrush. You may experience some side effects, such as: nausea, diarrhea, headache and altered sen...
I used Canex V during my fertile period for thrush infection due to antibiotics. Is it possible to still be able to get pregnant while you are using it. ## From what I could gather, Canex V contains the active ingredient Clotrimazole, which is an anti-fungal medication. So yes, it is normally used to treat things such as yeast/thrush infections. Regarding it's use during pregnancy, Clotrimazole topical has been assigned to pregnancy category B by the FDA. In which case animals who were given high doses intravaginally have not revealed evidence of teratogenicity. However, high "oral" doses resulted in embryotoxicity and maternal toxicity. In clinical trials involving women in their second and third trimester, Clotrimazole treatment of vaginal candidiasis was not associated wi...
What is this used for? And how much should you use each time? Dose it help thrush? ## This is actually a regional product. These types of products are usually known only to a certain area and can contain products specific to that area and what the doctors there have found best to use. It is then mixed by a local pharmacy. Therefore, I cannot really tell you what is in it or what it does. Do you know what the ingredients are? Can you provide a list of them? If so, then I can tell you more.
i used the purbac 350 pills to cure vaginal thrush but i have not yet menstruated, what could be the cause of this? ## what impact does purbac 250 have on the menstrual cycle? ## @lydia pogisho, Based on my research, irregular menstruation has been reported by people with post coital contraception, birth control, multiple sclerosis, depression, stress and anxiety. I haven't been able to find much pertinent information listing it as a common side effect. I believe the side effect that is more common is random "spotting" before menstruation.
