I am advised by doctor to take 80 mg telmisartan + 5mg amlodipine for hypertension. But due to unavailability of 80 mg telmisartan I was advised to take 40mg telmisartan+ 5 mg amlodipine morning and 40 mg telmisartan at evening. After taking split dose of telmisartan 40 mg morning and evening I am feeling strange and anxious and unable to sleep smoothly following two three days. What may be the problem?

Earlier my blood pressure was 140/110 average. I'm being treated with Bisopol 5mg + Telmisartan 40mg. Now my blood pressure is averaging 115/75. Is this normal or do i need to reduce my dosage? I am aged 60 years, suffering from diabetes for the last 16 years, depending on insulin since then, also diagnosed with high BP about seven years back. Most of the times I was taking Envass (5mg a day to 20mg a day) for controlling BP. Since my BP was quite hihg for the last one month or so, I was prescribed medicine, Tazloc H 40 mg along with Telestra 40 mg. Today is the tenth day of these medicines. My Blood Sugar level is: FBS - 147 & PPBS – 248. BP - 110/80. I have been taking medicines for BP. The medicines is changed from one to another like Ramipril 5mg, Losarton Sodium 50mg, Telmisartan 40 mg, etc. I want to know is there any problem in changing the medicines or one should I stick with only one medicines.
