I am diabetic. Had bye-pass surgery ten years back. The medicine prescribed for BP was cardace 2.5mg plus seloken xl 50 which was keeking my blood pressure under control. However, three days back I experience a sudden rise in my BP to 200/105. I was rushed to emergency. Was in hospital for 2 days. Now, doctor has changed the BP medicine to Telma 40. But the BP is showing frequent rise to 185/90 levels. My doctor is not available due to christmas holidays. Should I continue with Telma 40 or change back to my original medicine? My doc . Prescribed Telma am after the By Pass to control BP but the BP was around 165/85. So he changed to Telma 40. The BP is still 170/ 85. Now he has again advised me to shift to Telma am. I am taking following medicines: For BP : Telma Am 40mg & Prolomet XL 50 MG - one each in the morning Telma AM 40 Mg & Prolomet XL 25 MG - one each in the night For Diabetes : Invokana 100 MG - one in the Morning with Tea & Glycomet 1GM - after Breakfast and Dinner. Sugar and BP i s reasonably under control. But I have swelling in the ankles and tightness , pain , sometimes numbness. my doctor had prescribed telma 40 in the morning and amlong 2.5 in the evening, but by mistake i took first amlong 2.5 in the morning and also telma 40, will there be any complications..? kindly advise...
