I am only two weeks into accutane (absorica) only on 20 mg. I am thinking of getting a tattoo within the next couple of days. is it safe to get one that soon into the treatment? ## Hello, Katie! How are you? You shouldn't have any tattoos done, while taking Accutane. It can interfere with healing and increase the risk of your developing severe scar tissue, which could mess up a tattoo. The FDA lists the other typical side effects of Accutane as possibly including nausea, joint pain, skin infection, skin rash, nosebleeds and blurred vision. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi I'm on amox clav and wanted to get a tattoo can I get one while I'm taking this med? ## Hi Emma, From what I've read on other people's tattoo experience, it is best to not get tattooed while taking oral antibiotics, due to the antibiotics working overtime trying to expel any foreign bodies that are introduced. Not only that, but according to other reports, it may also cause your new tattoo to look much older and faded as well. If you have tattoos that are already healed, you shouldn't have anything to worry about if you need an antibiotic prescription. But, if you are planning on being tattooed and are on antibiotics, or have recently completed a regimen, you may want to hold off on getting your tattoo for a week or two after stopping treatment. I have a 6 month old tattoo and was prescribed this for my psoriasis. Will this affect the tattoos longevity? ## Hi Dez, I noticed there was another discussion thread here asking a similar question and just wanted to share the link with you: Ref - Can I use triamcinolone cream on my new tattoo I've also read reports from others with tattoos who have used steroid creams and didn't experience any fading. However my personal view is that a fading tattoo would probably come secondary to my health; especially since it can be retouched. Have you considered researching any natural alternatives for psoriasis treatment? My brother used to have psoriasis and had success with light therapy. Apple cider vinegar has also been touted as a treatment option. Hope this helps!

perscibed for an itchy- allergic reaction to a new tattoo. No poison ive, No bugs, What is the cause? ## I have a dark red place on my leg starting about 4 inches above my ankle and extending up about 6 inches.I have treating it with Triamcinolone Acetonide Ointment USP 0.1% for about 3 weeks and it seems to be improving slightly.I wanted to know if there was something better or if I should continue the present treatment?
