I have been taking Cmbalta for aout a year and have been experienceing a really bad, almost salty taste in my mouth for just about the same length of time. Has anyone out there had this same problem? My dentist says that there is nothing he can find, so I am hoping that someone can help me out. Please also let me know if you have experienced this same effect with other antidepressents. I take several and maybe it's one of those. HELP! I am just about at the end of my rope. I was diagnosed with Myeloma and AL Amyloidosis in May 2016. After taking a lot of medication for 7 months, fortunately my condition went into remission and I was taken off all drugs which included Revlimid in December 2016. I am now 10 months into remission but I have lost the taste of food. Although it has improved slightly it is still there. When will it come back. Has anyone experienced a similar problem. I have a peach-ish colored bar. It has the R039 on it but doesn't taste like anything and I've never seen a xanax like this before. Its real skinny and an off-white peach color. Has anyone else noticed the taste change in Oramorph Oral 10mg/5ml? ## Yes, it tastes less sweet and stronger, it reminds me of alcohol (which I no longer drink, due to morphine) I am so scared I may accidentally take an overdose. I used to self harm and take various overdoses when younger, whilst drinking alcohol. Now I don't want to die, and panic I have taken too much. I now take 30mg MST every 12 hours and 30-40ml of Oramorph every 4 hours, when required. Anybody there for solution for curing loss of smell and taste? Perhaps personal experience, advice and way forward? I been taking lorazepam 1 mg white small round, soft and sweet tasting. I think these are meant to be taken sublingualy. I just got some that were crushed up but they were bitter. I have been taking Lorazepan for a few years and sometimes take half of a 1mg pill. In the past it always tasted a bit bitter, but since my pharmacist changed suppliers, I noticed a sweet taste to it and non of the bitterness. I am wondering if I am really taking Lorazepan. In the past I had taken a similar drug (Diazepam) and it too was on the bitter side. ## I have encountered the same experience as Cari. I also have noted that the lorazepam I use now does not seem to work as well. ## There can be differences among generic drugs and the way they manufacture them. Some places may use a sweet coating on the outside to make taking them easier and some won't.

Morning.My Dr gave me clacee for my sinus-brongitis. I have this "bitter" taste in my mouth and im very nausea and dizzy after drinking the tablet. I also just want to fall asleep. Is this normal? ## Yes, those can be normal side effects of this medication, you may also experience headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Things should improve a week, or two after you finish your course of treatment. Is there anything else I can help with?

Why does the oxycodone 20mg. Taste sweet if I take a bite out of it ? ## Because it may have RP on it ## @mickey, It could certainly be one or more of the binders/fillers they use. If you post the imprint of your oxycodone pill, perhaps I or someone else could look up the list of inactive ingredients. This way you can better determine what changes might've occurred upon switching to a different manufacturer's brand or generic version than what you're used to. I have taken thyroid medicine for most of my life, but just recently I have noticed that my Synthroid , 100 Mcg pill has a sugary, sweet taste to it. Why has this occurred, and what exactly is the reason for it? ## Hello, Einnor! How are you? Some manufactured use sugars or a sweetener in some medications. What are the markings on it? That would enable me to check the specific ingredients for you. However, you also should not be tasting your pill. If you're tasting it, then you're not taking it properly. The pill should be placed as far back on your tongue, as possible, short of choking on it and then immediately swallowed with water.

Hi, My name is Michael and I've been on Plavix for the last 3 months. About a month ago or so I completely lost my taste. I thought I was going crazy; however, I found out that there are other people having the same taste lost side effect like me. I was prescribed a 3mg Lunesta and it worked very well for its purpose. One of the listed side effects is a bad taste, and yes I did experience that. I lost my sense of taste a few weeks ago. Mostly sweets. It comes back sometimes but always goes back out. I also have a sore throat and phlegm. Smell appears fine. The doctor thinks I may have GERD because of the throat issues and I do burp a lot. When I do burp there is no taste to it like heartburn but he says that there doesn't have to be. I took my first pill today and today was a decent tasting day. Within four hours of taking the pill my taste was gone again. I how this is a coincidence. I had tried 75 mg of Zantac before and didn't see a difference either way. Could taking the Tecta be making my taste worse if my issue is in fact not gerd? Also can it cause constipation? Idk where to start and after taking my morning synthroid 0.075mcg it's so sweet. I get my prescription filled via mail-order at OptumRX. I have been using them for a year and a half since I changed insurance. This is when I started noticing the sweet taste. I'm thinking they are sugar pills or placebos. I have been taking 25 mg of Atenolol for some time. It seems that since the shortage during the winter, I have had a bad taste in my mouth for some time. I am wondering if anyone else has noted this. It is the only medication I take. One doctor did wonder if any non-active ingredients in the Atenolol now being shipped have changed to create this effect. I have just begun Harvoni, this will be my sixth day. After the third day I noticed a change in how I am tasting foods. They are more sweet and foods that have a fat content are more heavy and cloying. I recently filled my ambien prescription from the Internet. white oval pills with amb 10 on one side and 5421 on the other. The pills have a sweet taste however, not the usual bitter taste of zolpidem and I don't really feel any effects. I am worried they are not good.
