Hi. My brother had a heart operation and after that his doctor prescribed him sumapen 250mg as a maintenance antibiotic so he can avoid any infection or any complications... I heard taking antibiotics for so long makes your body resistant to it. ## While that can be true, it would be far more dangerous, at this point, for him to stop taking it and not follow his doctor's instructions. It really just means that in the future, if he develops an infection, they will most likely have to give him a different antibiotic to eradicate it. I was confined months ago with rheumatic fever and my doctor said it damage the pulmonic valve... I take sumapen 2 times a day. Is this really treating my Rhd? what is the alternative medicine for sumapen, because my son suffering hard breath while taking this sumapen 500mg... Do you think that's the side effect?
