## How do I take Sumapen , or what is the usual dosage? ## Sorry this medication is not approved and used in the US, so it is not regulated like they are and information on it is harder to find. I would recommend asking your doctor or pharmacist and they will be able to tell you.

My 6yrs old child lately suffer frm tonsilitis which causes her fever.The doctor give her sumapen 250mg for a week.Is it ok to take d medicine even your stomach is empty? ## my doctor gave me sumapen as a maintenance for my tonsil is it right ? then why pharmacist always asking me who would take it and why so many ? and they say it should only be taken for a month and its not once a day it must be 2-3times or it wont work ?

It may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. What were you taking it to treat? Your doctor may need to prescribe another round of it, or a completely different antibiotic. Can you try leaving yourself reminders, so you don't forget to take it?

Hi. My brother had a heart operation and after that his doctor prescribed him sumapen 250mg as a maintenance antibiotic so he can avoid any infection or any complications... I heard taking antibiotics for so long makes your body resistant to it. ## While that can be true, it would be far more dangerous, at this point, for him to stop taking it and not follow his doctor's instructions. It really just means that in the future, if he develops an infection, they will most likely have to give him a different antibiotic to eradicate it. Hello, my sister is suffering from rheumatic heart disease. Her doctor advised her to take sumapen instead of penicillin injections coz its painful and my sister can't take it anymore. My question, is sumapen really an effective replacement for penicillin injection? and is rheumathoid arthritis connected also to RHD coz my sister is now experiencing rheumathoid arthritis and half of her body is paralized and her she can't speak anymore.
