I had a stroke 5 months back, paralyzing my right side. I am now taking Storvas 20mg and undergoing regular physiotherapy. However, now I have shoulder pain, I cant lift up my right arm because of pain in my muscle and the accompanying joint pain. My doctor says I have to take this medication for the rest of my life. I am a 67 year old woman. Please advise. ## Storvas contains the active ingredient Atorvastatin, it's used to help lower cholesterol and it can cause muscle/joint pain as side effects. However, there should be other medications available that you can try that may not cause you such terrible side effects. Have you spoken to your doctor about the problem? From what I've found, Fenofibrate is available in India and it's also used to help lower cholesterol.
