My grandmother, mother, and myself have used Save The Baby on our children's as a warm chest rub. I would put a T-shirt on them. I have also rubbed it on my husband's and my chest over our lung area front and back then wore a T-shirt to bed. No matter how sick with a cold or congestion we were, we would sleep through the night. What was really great about this chest rub is that it never got you cold. I have used Vick Vapor Rub and it makes your chest cold. My Humana insurance will not approve Savella for me. My neurologist sent in a special request for it and it was still denied. I was taking samples that my Dr. was giving to me but that has run out. Is there a generic for this medication yet or another medication with the same ingredients? ## I am using Savella, with good results. I had to try 3 other medications first (no relief). The is in a clear bottle with a red screw on cap. The liquid is yellow in color It has oil in it that separates and goes to the top when bottle sits. To use run the bottle under warm water and shake to mix. Applythe warm liquid tothe child's chest and under nose to relieve symptoms of croupe. I'M HOPING THESE HOT FLASHES SUBSIDE AS TIME GOES BY. ## Both of the symptoms you stated can be normal side effects of this medication. How long have you been taking it, now? It may take about 2 weeks, or so, but the side effects should start to taper off as your body adjusts to the medication, but can expect to experience them, again, anytime you are given a higher dosage. Prilosec literally saved my life. I have two kinds of kidney disease, both types of renal failure. They had me on 60mg of prednisone, 3 times a day. Lipitor, Lasix, hyroclorothiazide, and a whole slew of blood thinners. And I couldn't keep any of it down. I was dying at age 15. My parents were terrified. I was on Lyrica 75 mg for 14 days, 150 mg for 1 day. Had nausea, headache, drunk-like feeling. Doctor took me off after 15 days. The very first day off, I had the worst pain in my abdomin, nausea, bad headache & unable to eat. After 2 weeks doctor started me on Savella. It has been 5 days on it & I have not been able to eat anything but 1 - 2 bites of food a day. Nausea so bad I had to have my husband stop on the side of the road after 3 minutes of driving.
