Roxicet 5 325

I have celiac disease and I need to find out if they contain gluten. I also would like a list of all ingredients because there may be some hidden ingredient that affects my system. ## In the name brand Roxicet, the inactive ingredients are listed as: colloidal silicon dioxide, croscarmellose sodium, microcrystalline cellulose and stearic acid. However, this only applies to the name brand, if you have a generic, please post back with the markings on the tablets, or the manufacturer name and I'll gladly check for you. Is one pill stronger than the other between the 512 pill and 54/543 pill? ## Hello, Keikey! How are you? No, they've just been manufactured by different companies. The one with the 54 543 on it is the name brand Roxicet that's manufactured by Roxane Laboratories and the one with the 512 on it is a generic that's manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, but both contain 5mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I have had gastric bypass and I have a serious issue when it comes to the absorption of medications. I have severe chronic pain. I'm afraid the only thing you can really do is ask at various pharmacies, however, calling won't do any good. Due to the high risk of theft and diversion, they will usually just say they don't carry it, or have it in stock. The doctor may have written it for a different amount than is carried in the box. Again a pharmacy that does "compounding."

I have 2 roxicet 5-325 tablet that expired 9/28/2012. Out of the ten that were prescribed the two left look in good condition don't smell funny or anything. Going out of my mind with a migraine and wondering if they are safe to take since I've got nothing else and can't drive. ## Hello, Sandy! How are you? This medication doesn't get dangerous, once expired, but it does begin to lose effectiveness, so it may no longer work as well as it did, when it was new. Roxicet 10+325 compared to Percocet 10-325 MG. Any opinion which is the more effective for pain management? I have been on Percocet 10-325 MG for quite some time. I have been told there are various formulations of the chemical combination that are, for some, more effective than others. There are so many. I have been on narcotics for many years, trying to stay in control my pain. I take percocet 10/325 4 each day, if I switched to roxicet what dose would I need to manage my pain level. ## If you take 4 a day then you would probably get the 30 milligram and maybe also the 15's once a day because you take 4 percocets a day but I'm no doctor but know alot about how doctors do things with that kind of medication. ## Actually, Roxicet and Percocet are the same medication, they both contain Acetaminophen and Oxycodone, so there would be no change in dosage, when going from one them to other. Where you perhaps referring to Roxicodone, which only contains Oxycodone, without the Acetaminophen?

Was getting these in A larger yellow tablet and was suprised to open my bottle this month and find this smaller different looking white pill. Which is stronger Lortab or Roxicet? And how are they different? They are both 3/325. ## There is no 3mg dosage, the lowest these come in is 5mgs. Now the difference between these is the narcotic. Roxicodone contains Oxycodone and Acetaminophen and Lortab contains Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen. Oxycodone is the strongest of the two. ## Roxies are the strongest it contains no asprin ## Is oxycodone considered synthetic as is hydrocodone? What is the difference between roxicodone and oxycodone ? ## From what I understand, Roxicodone and Oxycodone are both the exact same medication. The only difference you might find would probably be in the list of inactive ingredients (binders/fillers) that different manufacturers use in their tablets. I think the real confusion sets in when people start discussing Percocet (which is sometimes partially labeled as Oxycodone). However, it also contains Acetaminophen; the differentiating factor between those two meds. The brand name is a trade name given by the original manufacturer of a medication, and the generic name is the list of the actual ingredients. The generic name for Percocet is Oxycodone with APAP (Acetaminophen) and the generic name for Roxicet would just be Oxycodone, so yes, they are different. I was prescribed percosets so why does my prescription say roxicets ## That's a good question. I'm not sure why they prescribed you two different brands, but to help shed some light, both brands contain the same combination of Acetaminophen + Oxycodone. So there is nothing to worry about as far as getting the medication you were prescribed. I can only assume that the pharmacy probably only had Roxicet ready and figured it was the same thing, so they just gave you that brand instead. I would suggest taking the prescription back to the pharmacy if it really bugs you though. I take the Rhodes 10/325 percocet and they are better than actavis oh that don't help at all. Rhodes and Amneal I agree are weak compared to the old Watson's and Mallinckrodt, and Endocet, even Roxicet. I changed pharmacies and now my Percocet's look different. I was getting a oval white pill with the A333 imprint and now I got a white round pill with 10 325 RP. I don't know what the differences are but I would like to know before I take them. ## It's just a different manufacturer. The ones you are getting now (RP 10/325) are better in my opinion. I am somewhat confused. Can someone tell me the difference between MALLINCRKO 5/325 and ROXICET 5/325. I was getting ROXICET, and today I got MALLINCKRO. They both have the same markings(round with 512 on one side and nothing on the other side).
