Prescribed in 1956 for nervousness to take 3 times a day ## I'm sorry to say that I have no ideas to offer you. That is a very vague description and drug laws were much looser back then, so it is almost impossible to guess what it could have been. Does anyone else have any ideas?

small white round pill scored on one side with an r on top and im not quiet sure what the number is on the bottom. i think its a 153,158, i cant really tell. i know its supposed to be for pain. ## this is a really small pill i can barely see the num. someone pleas help me. I have a very small, white/off white round pill with double scoring on one side and numbers on the other. If it has nothing on it, then it will be difficult to narrow down what it may be. However, we can rule it out as being a U.S. prescription medication, since they are all required to have unique imprints for identification. It could be any one of a large number of over the counter items or foreign medications, since they aren't as strictly regulated. A girlfriend found a bag of a mixture of different pills, some easily identified except for 2. This one is like it sounds in the title. The colour is white, it's round & very well pressed as it has beveled edges. It's blank on one side and the other side has an N imprinted above the scoreline and below it is the number 5. I figure that the N is for Novopharm? The 5 is probably a dose amount? However - a lot of the one's I've seen online also have "APO" written on the front. Part of me just wonders if this company makes (or used to make) a pill that fits your description as well, since the imprint is strikingly similar. I only ask because there are at least a handful of other white round pills marked with "EP" sitting over top of a score line on one side and blank on the back. Pill is worn, can only make out the last number which is 4. there appears to be a couple characters/numbers before the 4. Can not make out anything on reverse side. no imprints or scores. only the black type number/lettering. ## It's rather hard, without knowing the complete imprint, however, I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. This pill is scored on one side and has 224 on the other. with very similar #4 as typed here. It is white, round and about the size of a pencil's eraser. ## I haven't found a definitive ID on this pill, but from what other's have mentioned, an "off-white" round pill marked 224 is 450mgs of Lithium Carbonate Extended Release. NOTE: the number "4" is as you described it to be, but it also has what looks like a letter "G" on the other side of the pill, sitting above the score line.
