MY HUSBAND IS BEING ADVISED TO TAKE RIFAGUT 200 BY A PROFESSIONAL DOCTOR . HE HAS BEEN TAKING THE MEDICINE FOR ALMOST 4MONTHS NOW . IS IT SAFE TO TAKE THIS MEDICINE CONTINUESLY FOR SUCH LONG PERIODS . THE DOCTOR TOLD MY HUSBAND HE CAN TAKE IT LIFE LONG WITHOUT ANY HARM.IS IT TRUE ? HE DOES NOT HAVE TRAVELLERS DIAHREA, HE IS SUFFERING FROM SEVERE CONSTIPATION , AND HAS BEEN PRESCRIBED RIFAGUT FOR THIS . PLEASE ADVISE? i have been given rifagut tab 200 mg twice a day as i am suffering from stomach problem.i hae been given providac for healthy bacetria.m x-ray and ct scan reports are normal.i have gas in lower abdomen and sometimes feel acidity.please help ## Rifagut contains the active ingredient Rifaximin which is an antibiotic and the only way it will help is if you were infected with the H. how to take rifagut 400 tablets ? is it before food ar after food. ## Rifagut contains the active ingredient Rifaximin. The dosing and administration guidelines for this medication note the following: Rifaximin comes as a tablet to take by mouth "with OR without food." To help you remember to take Rifaximin, take it around the same times every day. i had loose tools month back for 5to 6 time a day proffisional doctor adivised me to take rifgut 400 mg for 10 days now iam suufering from stumch pain is it ok or any other alergi i have there is no blood in stools ## Every morning I have to go to bathroom twice and also once after every meal. The stools are very loose. Have gas problem in lower abdominal. Before releasing stools have some irritation in the stomach which would gone after finishing my bowel movements. Professional advised me to take Rifagut 200 tablet for almost 2 months. Now only some times I feel better but the problem has not yet cured completely. Now I stopped taking the tablet.
