These are branded as ALPROX (which I have never tried so can not give any opinions on strength or efficacy, although I have heard that they are indeed alprazolam but as with most Pakistani medicaments, are understrength.) I work for Actavis the company that manufactures these and with 100% certainty the yellow R039 are not time release, instant release only. Hope this helps ## According to the U.S. National Library of Medicine, these yellow R039 by Actavis are in fact generic 2mg Alprazolam (IR) tablets. For verification, the National Drug Code is 00228-2039; and if you follow the NDC link there's also an image of the said tablet. When I got them from a family owned pharmacy the bars were very pale. They had the imprint R039 stamped. When I took them one it instantly dissolved in my mouth. I tasted the xanax which was a mild xanax taste. Do private pharmacies order online? ## When you ask do they order online, yes many do from their wholesaler. Then UPS or another carrier brings it to them. What you describe sounds almost normal although Xanax shouldn't be mild, it is wildly bitter. ## I have to get generic. I have r039 yellow xanax 2mg bars and they do not taste bitter like the white greenstone ones. The taste is not completely bad. Also the g3722 do not do much for me besides getting me sleepy. However these yellow ones do make me feel better but the best ones are Pfizer Xanax, these yellow ones are somewhat sweet in taste. Are they a comparable generic? ## Xanax is always bitter in every color or shape you will find, same with Soma. I have recently refilled my prescription and it with Bright Yellow Xanax Bars with the imprint of R039 on them BUT they just don't seem right! I have never seen a xanax 2mg bar that was as bright yellow as these and they don't taste right either!
